Heavenly beauty

My camera is not good enough to show you the beauty that met my eyes, when I went out this morning, so I will need to make an attempt with words:
High to the east a thin slice of moon on the bluish background. Lower and more to the north a planet. (Venus? I think so, but I am not certain. My astronomy program doesn't work right now.) Lower still and further to the north the reddening sky behind the dark silhouette of the forest. And then the fog, lifting from the field.
