If I were to make a list of keywords to my reality, connectedness would surely be among them

If you love someone, it means that you are aware of a connectedness with that person. Or, ultimately, oneness. Love is awareness of connectedness.

Connectedness is the essence of real religion. (That is actually a fairly precise translation of the original meaning of the word.)

I wonder if the word connectedness is better than connection here. I think connection is fine, in the same context. And "being connected" is less awkward.
It is an interesting notion. So much one sided love is not really love at all but obsession and infatuation.

My own thoughts regarding the wording have been following some of the same paths as yours. I chose "connectedness" because it is more narrow in its meaning than "connection". And I wanted one word, so "being connected" was not an option.

I agree that "love" is not always love.
