My signature grew too long!

I tried to solve the problem by taking out the quotes again, put them here instead and link here from the signature. Later I added some other quotes that would have felt as natural parts of my signature file.
Yes, yes, I know: All those feathers are borrrowed. But at least I do not pretend that they are mine.
Some of the quotes are not in English. I have added translations.
