Attractive?

Why do some women seemingly believe that wearing a pair of shoes like this one makes them attractive?

I suppose it's because some men think that it actually does. Next questions:

Why do some men think that a woman is more attractive when she wears shoes that deform her feet and make her clumsy and helpless? And why do some women want to attract that kind of men?

Good question. You have to admit that women's fashion has always been driven by men's taste, not women's comfort. (Because face it, what's attractive about a woman in a threadbare terrycloth sleep shirt with a grape juice stain down the front that's been there since before the Beatles broke up?)

Interesting question, because high heel shoes have a couple of contradictory effects. Firstly, they make the woman taller, thereby reducing the (general) height advantage that men have over women. That is empowering - the woman simply does not feel so small.

On the other hand, the precarious walking that results from such walking makes the woman less assured in her movements, and thus more vulnerable, as you point out.

Personally, all I think of when I see a woman wearing such shoes is how uncomfortable it must be. My wife never wears them & I certainly find her attractive!

I agree with what you are saying about the shoes and I do not wear them (ok, maybe for weddings and such occasions but not normally).

They have a positive side for women who care about appearance though; they make the legs look longer (which could sometimes improve the proportions of the body) and since you look taller, you also tend to look more slim.

I´m uncertain as to whether or not the need for proportions and "slimness" are due to men´s taste or due to some other reason.

Some women (and some men, for example Eddie Izzard) are very skilled at walking in high heels so the movements does not need to be affected. But certainly, it´s not good for the feet.

Well I don't fancy that kind of shoes but there are many reasons that they are considered sexy (even though it is generally accepted that they are not good for feet).
1. They, indeed, make the leg seem longer and the woman taller and slimmer.
2. They make the ass seem tighter.
3. They seem difficult to walk in them. So if a woman manages to walk easily in them she automaticaly attracts a kind of admiration (Oh how cute).
4. They have curves and things with curves refer to sexy parts of female body.
5. Their stiletto heel refers to a weapon that makes the woman seem mysterious and dangerous.
6. The body posture of the woman that wears them is the same as the posture a short woman assumes when she's trying to kiss a taller man.

Well that's all I can think of right now but I'm sure I could think of more if I was a stiletto fun. Anyway. Don't destroy your feet wearing such shoes.

I seldom wear shoes like that, since I find them to be very uncomfortable. If I have to wear shoes with heels, I use something a bit more moderate than the one in your picture. I don't think very high heels are attractive at all, actually.
