Messenger: Round 2
By Navjot Pawera. Monday, 5. October 2009, 11:07:17
A few builds ago, we had bundled a little surprise for our My Opera users. A Messenger application, which allowed you to chat with your friends on My Opera was made public.
Today we are releasing an update to the same application and this time it's going to be available for download from unite.opera.com at http://unite.opera.com/application/412/. It's a simple application that lets you communicate with your network of friends on My Opera in a new way. If you are a My Opera user, you should definitely try this application.
Again, do let us know what you think. You can leave you comments on the application page at http://unite.opera.com/application/412/ or even report a bug at https://bugs.opera.com/wizard/. The application is currently under development so it's the right time to request improvements

You wouldn't want to type bbcode while "chatting" with someone would you.
I'd love to see Opera start using TinyMCE more so we can enjoy rich text. This would give it a closer feel to an application based messenger (rather than web based like a blog of forum).

A notification when someone goes online! I hated continuously checking to see if someone was online. We are already getting notification when someone messages us...

The conversation box has a very small amount of height.

What is the difference. The type one should get a little more height and the part where you see what you said should get even more height.
I would rather take the notification for when someone comes online more than anything though.
