Nous avons rencontré au début de l'après-midi Eric Dupin, le bloggeur le plus influent en France et en Europe d'après Wikio. Il s'agit également d'un utilisateur fidèle d'Opera Mobile.

Notre toute première conférence en France
Ensuite, nous sommes allés à l'Ecole Centrale de Lyon, une grande école d'ingénieur généraliste très connue en France qui nous a accueillis les bras ouverts. Il y avait du monde. Les participants connaissaient bien le monde Internet et on a eu un échange très intéressant à la fin sur les standards du Web. Certains voulaient être représentants d'Opera voire travailler pour Opera Software.

Les retours étaient très positifs et nous espérons revenir à l'Ecole Centrale Lyon dans un avenir proche.

Demain, nous prendrons le train pour Grenoble et une conférence à l'ENSIMAG pour de nouvelles "aventures" et rencontres.

Hello and welcome back to the University Tour blog.
The second University Tour was held in France. Johan Borg (Vice President Consumer Engineering), Charles McCathieNevile (Chief Standards Officer) and I : Dieu Anh Le Vu (Marketing Associate) kicked off the second University Tour in France with a seminar at Ecole Centrale Lyon in Lyon, one of the most beautiful cities in France.

In the beginning of the afternoon, we've met Eric Dupin, the most influential blogger in France (and in Europe). He's also a great Opera Mobile user. We've talked about Opera Mobile 9.5, new features of Opera 9.6 and Opera's vision.

Our first seminar in France
We went to Ecole Centrale de Lyon late in the afternoon. Centrale de Lyon is a leading generalist engineering school in Ecully (the suburd of Lyon). Most of attendees are passionnate of Web applications, Internet in general and some of Web standards. They've asked very interesting questions at the end of the seminar. Some of them have even subscribed to be part of the Opera Campus Crew and some very interested to work for Opera Software as a intern.
We've got positive feedbacks from attendees. We hope we'll be back in Lyon soon

Tomorrow, there will be a seminar at ENSIMAG in Grenoble. I just can't wait for it !!
