After two weeks with students from 10 universities the German tour came to an end. But we still have a bunch of things to offer for both attendees at our seminars as well as for other interested readers.
Initally all slides we used during the tour are online:
Find all these slides together with some slides of other Opera tours around the world on our ODIN blog.
Those of you, who could not attend one of our seminars or wish to see it again, can just hit this link to the video of Håkon's talk recorded at the Technical University of Dresden. It will actually help you a lot to learn from the slides as well. In addition to that you will find the questions and answers part of the seminar on this video. Watch Håkon's answers to questions such as: How does Opera earn money? Why does Opera stay closed source while supporting open Web standards? And will the Web support 3D in the future? Since we recorded the whole talk, this video takes 1 hour 23 min. Learning takes time
Everybody, who already miss Opera, don't want to wait until the next university tour, support a better Web and gain crucial skills, can join our Opera Campus Crew program. Become a member today and receive your own Campus Crew t-shirt.
We also made some pictures of the tour available. Maybe you find yourself on some of them?
Last but not least we thank our great speakers Håkon Wium Lie, Anne van Kesteren as well as Roberto Mateu, Campus Crew member Henk, who recorded Håkon's video, all our professors and all students, who visited our talks!

- Find Håkon's slides on One Web here. The slides are in HTML format by clicking "F11" you can get to the presentation mode of Opera and view this document as shown during the seminar. The content includes the beginning of the Web at CERN, its development until now and HTML 5. Furthermore Håkon introduces some projects for the Web.
- Anne's slides on HTML 5 are here. You can watch these slides just as Håkon's. If you want to try the video demos, you need to download a special build of Opera with native video support. In his presentation Anne talks about the development of Web Standards, how the WHATWG evolved, how they cooperate with the W3C and how you can get involved into the discussions.
- Roberto's slides: Web Browser Industry (PDF) This talk includes trends in the browser industry, how people get access to the internet in new ways, Opera's products and some use case examples.
