After meeting the staff and getting a tour and history of the Faculty of Digital Media, I was all set for my presentation, which was so well attended that we managed to give away all of the t-shirts we had. Sorry Augsburg, we'll make it up to you, promise!
My talk was also filmed and streamed live online - we later found out that we broke the university's record for simultaneous connections, with over 70 people watching the video stream...
After the talk we had some excellent discussions with the students. It seems that the mix of technical details and visually-enticing showcases really hit the sweet spot between code and creativity that the Digital Media students were hoping for. They also seemed quite enthused by the potential of Opera Unite and were already discussing possible entries for the competition.
All too soon, we had to rush off again to catch our next train, but not before visiting Germany's highest waterfall in Triberg...where we admittedly went a bit touristy with our snapshots.
