1000 Awesome things

Please visit this blog I discovered through the satirical-but-true-to-life news flash site FARK.

It's the 1000 Awesome Things blog. True to its name, this blog lists awesome things. It's a growing website with new posts each weekday.

It caught my attention with this ode to yesteryear: #980 Old, dangerous playground equipment. It hearkens back to the old timey wrought iron accoutrements that littered schoolyards in my long past childhood days. Most of it was rust-colored. The few shiny metal parts were scalding hot.

I even broke off part of my front right (permanent!) tooth on a rust-colored trapeze bar.

(sigh!) Those were the days.

Ah, yes...the days when playgrounds were weapons of mass destruction. :daydreams: Those were the days.
