Very nice. Please go on and include the following for Fanboy:
-Option to choose one of the .ini "With Stat/Tracking Sites"
-download the "Optimised Element Filter"
-an Opera panel button
-download version check

Dawid MajkaXnor Friday, April 9, 2010 4:18:25 PM

@knolle
For now I wait for some user-feedbacks like yours. In the near future I'll think about some new features and about implementing user's wishes.

-download the "Optimised Element Filter"

Thank you very much. Please add autoupdate wink

please use the button (Help->Opera Button) for that or a batch-file with the parameter "-u" since i can't start the program freely with opera and check for update.
Also I don't want to start it at the system start.
You could do it by yourself, with starting the program with the parameter "-u" at your system start over a task or something like that.

knolle Tuesday, May 11, 2010 7:12:07 AM

Very nice now. What are your plans for future versions?

seriously, I dunno smile

I guess I learn a bit JavaScript and then lets see. Maybe I can extend the Downloader with a small script.

what, you're right, I wonder whats going on there.
Last (silence) update or at least upload "Server date: 2010-05-14 12:00:07"
another update at exactly "Server date: 2010-05-14 12:20:07"...

I wonder what they changed.

do you have all the silence updates? If you downloaded them and had the Backup-feature on, they should be in the backup-dir, which you can view in the Editor.
If you have them, could you send me the backup-dir please, so I'm able to compare the filter-lists and see what did they exactly change there, would be great.

Dawid MajkaXnor Friday, May 14, 2010 4:53:45 PM

new update "Server date: 2010-05-14 17:00:06"

now I compared this newest list with the list from 12:20:07 and they added 2 new filters to it...

funny thing they do there, I don't get it, but at least they didn't just re-upload them without changes...

"Server date: 2010-05-15 07:40:07"
3 new filter... well, at least they work at it smile

I see. Thanks for the info.
So if there is a new filter-list available they upload it every 20 min, not bad at all.

Nice program, but it tells me that Opera is running even if it is not running. Tried to start the batch file with administrative rights, but that won't even load the GUI.

Edit: OK, for some reason I had to close Opera and your tool 2 or 3 times => strange, but List got updated now.

hmm, if it happens for a new, look into the task-manager if the opera.exe-process is still running.
It could be, that the opera.exe-process needs some time to close correctly. My tool test on every download if opera is running, so it's not necessary to restart it.

Aercyrugas Saturday, July 24, 2010 3:56:31 AM

great tool. saves my time installing filters on different opera.
^^ thx

Great tool. Thank you so much for taking your spare time to develop this. Keep up the good work.

Great tool. The Opera button (for updates) is not working here. I see this error:
'No registration program for this output file.'
Can anyone confirm this?

could it be that you moved the program to another folder after adding the button?
When you generate the html file it takes the current path of the program, if you move it, you have to generate the html file for a new with pressing the menu-entry

metriod1 Tuesday, August 3, 2010 9:25:27 PM

It works again. I have placed the Opera URLFilter Downloader folder into another folder: Programma's. I have changed Programma's into Programma.
Problem solved. smile

Valynor Saturday, August 21, 2010 2:37:02 AM

Very nice program, but to use the Fanboy adblock list to its fullest there is one important feature missing: The ability to update the Element Filter as well (look here: http://www.fanboy.co.nz/adblock/opera/ -> "Optimised Element Filter").

Could you please add this in a future version?
