Opera URLFilter Downloader
By Dawid MajkaXnor. Sunday, April 4, 2010 7:54:44 PM
With the urlfilter.ini you can block specified addresses from within the Opera browser.
E.g. you can block complete web sites, links, banner and script files and a lot of other files.
Within the Opera URLFilter Downloader you can download some available urlfilter.ini files and edit the files if you want to do so.
It's also possible to merge existing addresses from an existent urlfilter.ini file.
For more details see the Readme.

For now I wait for some user-feedbacks like yours. In the near future I'll think about some new features and about implementing user's wishes.

please use the button (Help->Opera Button) for that or a batch-file with the parameter "-u" since i can't start the program freely with opera and check for update.
Also I don't want to start it at the system start.
You could do it by yourself, with starting the program with the parameter "-u" at your system start over a task or something like that.

what, you're right, I wonder whats going on there.
Last (silence) update or at least upload "Server date: 2010-05-14 12:00:07"
another update at exactly "Server date: 2010-05-14 12:20:07"...
I wonder what they changed.
do you have all the silence updates? If you downloaded them and had the Backup-feature on, they should be in the backup-dir, which you can view in the Editor.
If you have them, could you send me the backup-dir please, so I'm able to compare the filter-lists and see what did they exactly change there, would be great.

now I compared this newest list with the list from 12:20:07 and they added 2 new filters to it...
funny thing they do there, I don't get it, but at least they didn't just re-upload them without changes...
"Server date: 2010-05-15 07:40:07"
3 new filter... well, at least they work at it

So if there is a new filter-list available they upload it every 20 min, not bad at all.

Edit: OK, for some reason I had to close Opera and your tool 2 or 3 times => strange, but List got updated now.

hmm, if it happens for a new, look into the task-manager if the opera.exe-process is still running.
It could be, that the opera.exe-process needs some time to close correctly. My tool test on every download if opera is running, so it's not necessary to restart it.

Can anyone confirm this?

could it be that you moved the program to another folder after adding the button?
When you generate the html file it takes the current path of the program, if you move it, you have to generate the html file for a new with pressing the menu-entry
metriod1 # Tuesday, August 3, 2010 9:25:27 PM
Problem solved.

Could you please add this in a future version?
