8 is enough

D4rk 4ng3l's sweet little newborn has made me miss my babies when they were babies.

I decided to post their pictures but could not immediately find baby pictures for all of them.
I'm missing baby pictures of 2 of my sons...Nikki and Lawrence. I have 5 sons and 3 daughters.

My oldest, my son Walter, turned 50 on July 4, 2008 and my youngest, my daughter, Jacqueline, turned 9 on April 5, 2008.

My twin grand-daughters will be 15 on October 15, 2008.

wildtazzmaa 15. September 2008, 08:58

How beautifully blessed you are and even more so: How beautifully blessed your children are to have you    Lyn P.S. Shouldn't there be a *BIG* emphasis on *IS* :jester:

valius324 15. September 2008, 10:27

I'm not sure my children would agree that they were blessed to have an over bearing, stern father who never accepted "can't" from them. I am however sure that I was blessed by their presence and being in my life.

If that emphasis on "IS" is for "this IS me" then the answer is Yes! I have not changed from the day I was born. I just learned a few things.

wildtazzmaa 15. September 2008, 11:41

 Actually it was for "IS" as in 8 "IS" enough! :D As for being overbearing/stern and never take no/encouraging; I can say our youth needs so much more of that in their lives, as the "Terminal Generation" *IS* upon us. I this year moved from Las Vegas="Sin City" an hour away to a po-dunk town where you would think "How quaint"; on the contrary, it's a litte "Babylon". I am still dumbfounded* And it's no joke that I am having a hard time figuring out who is worse, 'The Parent's or ''The Children'. My what a sad sad state of affairs, all I know is I can not wait to get out of here!! So don't sell yourself short my friend  Lyn

valius324 15. September 2008, 12:50

OH! That "IS"! Actually it is "NOT".

I am confused about having 8 children. I thought when I came here I was suppose to have "9". It makes me wonder about my wild teen-ages. I constantly wonder if I have a child somewhere who is a grown man or woman that went through life without their father.

I have prayed for forgiveness if this is the case, but it is something always on my mind. I'm fairly certain that I will not have another child, which is why I wonder about the past.

The only thing I can say is that if I was my own father when I was a teen...I'd have killed me a long time ago. How could I have been so foolish and not have respected life in general.(I don't mean life and death) I mean (I'm at a loss for words to say)...\\\so just say it///...I mean whether or not I was had a child out of wedlock was never a teenage concern.

These days no matter where you move to you can't escape what people are doing. I sometimes try to shut out what I see. In Baltimore I walk around and see drug dealers on almost every corner and wonder why if I, a person who knows little about drugs, can see what's going on; why can't the police.

Then I sat in court one day listening to cases and the Judge in more than half of the drug cases didn't let the defendant speak. He would say things like "if you deny the charges we are only talking about a little bit and it would cost the city to much too pursue this...so if you say nothing, I'll have to let you go..do you want to say anything?". I'll bet the cops have just given up. Another thing I remember the judge, (that I started thinking of as "turn em loose Bruce") said was, "Oh this is your first time...if you got mixed up by accident I'll have to let you go". I couldn't believe my eyes and ears.

Most of the time I just stay inside and enjoy my computer and my computer friends. Inside I can pick my friends.

A funny thought..."Sin City" or "Charm City" which one has the most crime. I think "Sin City" because here in "Charm City" they just shoot each other before any crime! lol As in shoot first and presume there would have been a crime.

I'm so proud of my children and what they have accomplished in life...they have risen to be leaders and probably would be ashamed to admit I was their dad. I have to go on line to see what they are doing by Googling their names. Hey...I just remembered that I raised my niece like she was my child from the time she was 5. I wonder if she counts as my 9th child? I always thought of her as my child until she graduated from college. (what a funny story behind her 2nd year in college) for another time.

My little [oldest] child asked me today, "mommy, how many children did you really want?" when you have all eyes and ears on you, what do you say? i told her two until i realized that my two youngest was looking at me. then i preceeded in saying that God granted me two more because He knew that I could handle more than two children with His help.

wildtazzmaa 17. November 2008, 08:29

God Bless you with abundant strength and patience Toga* I had 2; 8 years apart and he sure knew that's all I could handle  Lyn
