My God!!! What a pretty, interesting, nice, wonderful, important, fantastic photo do you have. You must be very proud of it. Thanks for sharing it. Hugs for you.
High, my precious lady! Nice to see and read your comments. Thanks for your concern about my family, and in particular, about my grandsons. They are all right, and just nice.
Here is one typical russian recipe I have found via internet: Russian recipes: Apple Sharlott
Apple Sharlott recipe is among the most popular cakes in Russia. It's very easy and fast, tasty and tender.
Ingredients:
CRUST:
1/2 cup margarine 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 3 cup flour 3 ts baking powder 1/2 ts salt
Filling
18 large apples
cinnamon
1 cup sugar
Method:
Combine margarine & sugar in a mixer, add eggs. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add this to the first part, combine thoroughly. Make a ball of dough and put in fridge for 2 hours. Cut apples and add cinnamon and sugar. Cut dough in half and roll 2 dough rectangles 13"x 9" Lower crust in a greased with oil pan. Put a layer of apples with cinnamon, sugar. Put the second dough rectangle on. Make holes in topcrust before baking. Brush with yolk the top crust. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes (until crust slightly golden). When baked, let cool down, better in freezer, to firm up before slicing.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..it looks just great. I am going to write it and tell my daughters to prepare it. I will tell you how does it taste, ok? From Mexico, and direct to you a big big big kiss....just for you. Thanks my dear dear dear Valentin....
My daughters are going to fix your recipe maybe in two or three days. I am dying to taste it. Once more, thank you very much. You are so nice and kind with me, for you all my love...and hundreds of sweet kisses...
My dear friend, I have a question for you, tell me, in the place where you live, do you celebrate Mother´s Day ? Because yesterday, 10 of may, we celebrate it here in Mexico, and today, 11 of may, they celebrate it in USA. But you ???? Hugs my Valsavin.
High, I am glad to see you again. My belated congratulations with Mother's Day, unfortunaly we do not have it here. Instead we celebrate Woman's Day on the 8th of March. All the best to you, my dearest friend:heart:
Just here to say hi. How are you my dear ? How is your nice family? I havent seen you at my cave....and I miss you. Hope you are fine. Hugs for one of the sweetest friend I have.
High, I am sure to visit your cave. I and my family are all right. There are always certain problems or problemitas, que son superables. Gracias por tu atencion. Muchos besos.
YEEES...a sweet hot coffee cup for me, and for you. We are having here a kind of storm, so this coffee is going to be just fine. Thanks my dear Valsavin. Hugs for you.
Here, in Mexico, raining season is just arriving. I love rain, I prefer it to hot days. Good night my sweet friend, always sweet dreams for you....kisses...
Thanks for writing me. The same is here. It's been raining for the whole week. I''s more than enough. Besides it is cold inside. UH... By my darling lady. Yours,
High, I am glad to see you again. Last time you asked me to write you something about myself. I do not know what to begin from. Any way I am an old, old man of 69 y.o. Live in Moscow. Married. My wife's name is Kira. She is of the same age. We are retired people, I mean - pensioners. We have a son whose name is Lev - Lion - Leon. He and his wife Nastya have two children - Eugene - he is five y.o. and Kat - she is one y.o. My wife and myself are very happy with them and try to dedicate any spare minute to them. The place where we live is on the outskirts of Moscow with many greenary and three small lakes: White, Black and Saint. Most favoured is the Saint one where we go for a rest and swimming in Summer. There are three churches in there which we frequent from time to time. When I have time, I write poems and make some translations. I am a member of the Russian Union of writers That is all for the moment.
I am glad to see that you are a very happy man. Your life is so nice and you have a very very pretty family. The place that you describe me is like a picture of a story, lovely. Thanks for that description. So you are a poet. Would you please write one or two of your poems so I can read you as an artist? I will be very glad. Please. Thanks very much....and greetings for all your lovely family, hugs for you my dear friend.
Thank you very much for your commentary. As to my poems, the problem is I write them in my native tongue and I doubt that you'll understand. Anyway, if I have time and stamina, I'll translate some of them. But that, I am sure won't be good. Thanks for your attention. Best of luck.
Sorry, if I disappoint you. My poems mostly anti-political ones. I have not yet ripened to lovely lyrics. Please write me something about yourself, I am sure it will be interesting. Thanks in advance.
Ok, no problem with your poems. Something about me.... My name is Rocio, in English it means Dew. I am married, I have 2 daughters, you know, my chefs. I am a public accountant, but I dont work on it. I am working in a school, first as teacher, then as principal. I love teaching. I love reading. I always have a book on my hands, first of all I like historical novels. One of my favorite authors is Isabel Allende, she is from Chile, do you know her? My favorite sport is swimming. I love music too, but I dont like to dance, hehehe, I only listen to it, or play it, I have my piano, and when I feel alone or sad, I sit in front of my piano and play, and play, and play. I like any kind of food, but seafood is my favorite. I dont like milk, or cream. I live in a very pretty city, it is located at the central part of my country. Now the weather is very hot. Soon the rainy weather is going to be here. In winter we dont have snow, and it is a pity. My city is a colonial city, a big city, a modern one. I dont have a beach, or a lake,or country near here, just houses, just buildings, and sometimes I miss the nature. Now it is your turn, hehehehehe. Hugs.
Thanks for your reply and a very, very interesting story of yourself. Teachers are my beloved ones. At least they tought me someting in my life. Unfortunately I do not read that much, but I happened to know who Isabel Allende is, more so, I have her book entitled ""Eva Luna". I, to my regret, do not play any musical instruments, nor sing songs, just murmur them. My wife does it for me. That all for the time being. Accept my appreciation and best wishes to your family. Try from time to time write me in your own language. Yours heartily, V.Savin
Ok, I am going to try in my own language....if you dont understand, just tell me.
