of a middle aged life

knee deep

Here are some scenes from today's snow action. It started as a shovelling chore but turned into a trip to a local school yard to toboggan down the hill. We got about a foot of snow overnight. There is about 18" of it on our garage roof. I don't remember there being this much snow for this long in Vancouver. It feels like walking through quick sand. I don't really like this stuff.

Risa's too young to see the negative of being wet and cold and is all set for take off on her slider. We ventured to the hardware store to buy some rope where they had lengths already pre-cut and ready for sale for $2. I towed Risa to the park (of course she had all the fun!) and she enjoyed a few runs down the little hill.

Our outing was topped off with a stop for lunch at the local sushi bar. That was a full glass of warm milk polished off along with a whole california roll. Risa is on another growth spurt and can sure eat a lot during these times.
