Spent the day in the mall. Risa dispenses ice cream from one of her favorite rides in the kids play area, an ice cream truck. Yes, ventured out on the road today, not a easy decision, but had to do take my dad to his medical appointment as well as pick up the turkey I ordered from the grocery store.

It was scary out there. Six inches of snow I can handle, but 16 inches is out of my comfort zone, especially since our town doesn't have the capacity to plow and salt all the roads. I tried to stick to the bus routes, assuming that they would be first priority for clearing. A bit disconcerting to see two city buses sidelined along our travels, with passengers having to abandon them and being stranded at the stop. Little cars and big delivery trucks getting stuck. Traffic crawled along all the way. I'm staying home tomorrow.
