  • Turn on the computer and keep tapping ESC.
  • Stop Tapping it when You see a message MBR2FA.
  • Hit ENTER and ESC simultaneously at the same time.
  • Repeat the steps until you get the screen shown below.
  • Select any one of the Recovery mode from the GRUB screen.
  • Run ls /home to get the username.
  • Then passwd username
  • Set the new password and there will be no visual response when you type the password

    ls /home
    passwd username
