Testing without annoying

I always download the Weekly builds, because generally they have new features, and are errors patched. But sometimes I have problems with install, so I figured out a way of freshening, that solves the next problems:
- Small size of the main Opera directory
- Not to lose settings because of accidental deleting
- I can use one setting collection for more instances of Opera
This requires, that the essential and big files are out of the freshened directory. So I copy my files to any "secure" place (e.g. other partition), and I apply my settings to the new places:
Mail: opera:config\#Mail|MailRootDirectory
General block content file (filter.ini): opera:config\#Network|URLFilterFile
Cache directories:
opera:config\#UserPrefs|CacheDirectory4
opera:config\#UserPrefs|OperatorCacheDirectory4
opera:config\#UserPrefs|TemporaryDownloadDirectory
Plugins: opera:config\#UserPrefs|PluginPath
User Javascript: opera:config\#UserPrefs|UserJavaScriptFile
Language file: opera:config\#UserPrefs|LanguageFile
Toolbar file: opera:config\#UserPrefs|ToolbarConfiguration
shortcuts: opera:config\#UserPrefs|KeyboardConfiguration
I install any new build this way:
- Zipped save from main directory
- Installing the new version in the main directory
Since the big files are out of the saved directory, so the zipped archive has a small size, and - if necessary - I can make a clean install, and I can set my settings (above) in a minute with this options. Of course, some settings requires further tuning, but I haven't to be afraid of losing of my important data, if the freshening has failure.
(I could save my widgets, too, and drag-and-drop in group, but this way some widget would lose its cookies (e.g. SimAquarium).)
