HIV viruses (red) HIV 爱滋病病毒(红色) 攻击T细胞(绿色)
AIDS viruses. Coloured scanning electron micrograph of a T-lymphocyte blood cell (green) infected with Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) (red), causative agent of AIDS. The surface of the T-cell has a lumpy appearance with large irregular surface protrusions. Smaller spherical structures on the cell surface are HIV virus particles budding away from the cell membrane. The virus has infected the T-cell, and instructed the cell to reproduce many more viruses. By this viral budding the T- cell dies. Depletion of the number of T- cells in the blood is the main reason for the destruction of the immune system in AIDS. Magnification: x6,000 at 6x7cm size. x20,000 at 8x10" 红色

Title: Shingles rash in an HIV patient 艾滋病患者的带状湿疹

Caption: HIV patient with shingles rash on the right ear and neck. This form of shingles has been made more severe by the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), which weakens the immune system. Shingles normally only affects a single dermatone (skin area supplied by a nerve), but here many dermatomes are affected. The herpes zoster virus is acquired in chicken pox infections and remains dormant. Immune system weaknesses may allow reactivation, when the virus travels along nerves, causing skin blisters and severe pain.免疫系统功能不正常,病毒这时开始发作。病毒沿神经走行。 带状湿疹造成皮肤起水泡和严重的痛苦。
