Steven Patrick Morrissey (22/5/1959) từng là nhạc sĩ, ca sĩ chính của ban nhạc rock người Anh The Smith. Sau khi ban nhạc tan rã, tài năng tuyệt vời đã mang lại cho Morrissey một sự nghiệp solo thành công rực rỡ.

Khởi đầu từ album solo đầu tiên Viva Hate (1988), nhưng 1994 mới thực sự là năm thành công nhất của Morrissey, với album Vauxhall and I mang lại vị trí #1 cho ông ở UK. Track The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get nằm trong album này được yêu thích như một single, nhanh chóng vọt lên đứng ở vị trí #8 trong bảng xếp hạng ở UK và #46 ở US.

17/5/2004, You Are the Quarry ra đời như một sự pha trộn giữa Your Arsenal và Vauxhall and I. Single đầu tiên của album - Irish Blood, English Heart đã tạo ra một đột phá bất ngờ khi vọt lên vị trí #3 trong top best sales singles tại US chỉ trong tuần đầu tiên phát hành. Quá tuyệt!!!

Trong năm 2008 này Morrissey đã phát hành album đầu tiên Greatist Hits và hứa hẹn một album mới nữa vào mùa thu. (romantic) Trong Greatest Hits chỉ có 2 record mới là All You Need Is Me và lead single That's How People Grow Up, còn lại hầu hết các track đều là remix version từ các hit trước đây. Mà sao tớ thấy hơi giống Indie Rock???
