Au chant de l'Alouette

,

Why I post the video of this 1967 folk song whose origins go up to the 17th century?

Because this is what the Lions will need to comfort themselves at the end of the day after being beat up by the mighty Alouettes. :knight:

But I have to admit, even if the Als had an almost perfect season and the Lions had an incomprehensible access to the semi-finals, nothing is done.

The Lions will always be the pet peeve of the Montreal Alouettes and they have prove it many time. I'm just glad that the game is not at BC Place!

But enough talking, let's all get ready for our yearly Opera/CFL party hosted here from 1:00 eastern(18:00-UTC/GMT).
:hat:  :jester: :knight:

For those who can't watch the game on TSN, here's a link to a radio broadcast:

Bring your beer and snacks and let's all hope it will be a good game! Even if they are no bet this year, I think we can agree that the loser will cheer up for today's opponent at Grey Cup final, right San?

Let the best team win... and that would be the Als! :D

:sing: "...Au chant de l'Alouette, je reve, je dors, j'ecoute l'Alouette et puis je m'endors..." :sing:

Today's Project 52's photo is special because of the date. Three years ago, I began a project called Project 365 in which I took a photo each day for 365 days. This project, in my case lasted 2 years and my regular readers know how much I was proud of what I have accomplished.

At the end of the first year, I made a mosaic with all the photos I took during that year and I loved the idea. So I always had the plan of making another one with my 2 years photos and print it. And in August while I was beginning a new life, again and moving in a new apartment, I decided to do it.

I finally picked 500 consecutive photos from June 4th 2007 to October 15th 2008 because it was a round number and it was a period of time where I perfectly done it without missing any day. Plus, It covered some of the most happiest days of my new life with amongst other things, my trips to Iceland and Guatemala.

I used a software called MacOSaiX to build the mosaic with a self-portrait as a guide to arrange the photos. The software did quite a good job choosing the good pictures to form the head, lips, eyes, etc...
Depending on the distance where you are, you either see my face or five hundred different photos placed side by side. And I built the frame myself.

Now, some of you may ask what's the use of having this kind of picture on your wall?

You'd be surprised how useful it is..

Let's say that you meet an old friend and you invite him to your house(and Lord knows how often it happens). First question he asks(Always the same, isn't it?):

"So, what have you done in the last years?"

Ha ah! No need to relate a long and exhausting story about what you have done each day during that period of time. You can simply answer:

"Look on the wall!"

{sigh}

How my life will be easier now...

The sun is in the leaves - the proof!

, , ,

Last week I have posted a photo of bright yellow autumn leaves and I have called this post "The sun is in the leaves".

One of the comments I have received on this post was made by Mr. Gdare who has simply mentioned and I quote: "I can`t see Sun in the leaves"

Mmmm... someone doubts my affirmations? :eyes:

Tsk tsk, I don't like that. :irked:

So here's the irrefutable proof that every leave is carrying a part of the sun's surface:

It's just like looking through the Hubble's lens!

who's monkeying with my photos?

, , ,

Since I have begun to post my DAPs, I have noticed that the uploaded pictures were far less bright that the original photos. The reds are dull compare to what I see when I look at them in Photoshop like if a filter of some sort has been applied.

Am I victim of a monkey trick from the server monkeys? monkey
Does it have something to do with some of the latest Opera updates?
Am I the only one who have noticed that? :left: :right:
Did I become senile?

I need help!!
