Debut album from 1977. From the opening piece, 'Key To the Rhyme,' the group established themselves in the same vein as bands like Supertramp.

70's Classic, March 7, 2003
This album has to be considered a 70's gem although I don't remember it getting much if any radio play. I used to see this album in record stores and wonder what it sounded like. Then I was at a friend's who had it. After listening to it I decided to buy one for myself. "On the Run", "Timebomb", and "Chasing Colours" are my favorites but there isn't a bad song on here. It's probably a different kind of rock then most people are used to but that's what made rock great--all the variety that you could still classify as rock and roll. This album definitely stands out as one of the better rock albums of the 70's.

I love this album.....in fact, I own an album. I don't think it ever took off like it should have, but, maybe it was before its time. The song "Do I Love You?" is one of my faves. Everytime I
I hear it, it sends me back to my youth and everything was so exciting. One of my loves dedicated it to me. Over all, just a great listening album!

I have been looking for this album for about ten to fifteen years. I cannot find it anywhere and when I went to a record exchange, they had no idea of who I was talking about and looked at me like I needed medication..lol

When I was a child, my dad had this album and I listened to it over and over and over again. I loved the music, loved everything about it. Thank you for showing me that I knew all along what I was talking about and that the record industry didnt promote enough one of the best bands of the 70's.

where can I buy the album though? GOTTA HAVE IT!!!! lol

Glad you found it. Be sure and listen to the other Lake albums. They are just as good! I guess the album (CD) is out of print (at least for now). I'm just glad I kept it (and the rest) all these years.

And you did know what you were talking about all these years! A lot of the best music got swept aside by the record companies back then. In my store, for every hit album you'd heard of, I could've played you 5-10 more that were just as good - all in the same musical vein!

Enjoy!

I gotta have those songs..is it possible that you could somehow send them to me via email? I cant find them anywhere..

The file is too big to e-mail (77 MB) - the only way to get it is to download it from the link provided. Sorry.

And it looks like they are available on Amazon now. I may have to delete these if they're available again.
