New Nikon and Panasonic Cameras

I'm looking at getting a new camera this year. Has to take a good photo, have a decent zoom and a decent feature set. But it has to fit into my pocket. Really I want a DSLR that's the size of a credit card! Not gonna happen! Compromises have to be made, but of the plethora of new models released today by Panasonic and Nikon, two of them stand out.
The Nikon P60 has a 5x zoom lens, 8 megapixels and optical vibration reduction. It doesn't thave the features of the Panasonic but it is a Nikon, which means superb photo quality and solid construction, and it's just US$229.
Panasonic have introduced a double replacement for the TZ3 (which is what I had been wanting!) in the TZ4 and TZ5. The US$299 TZ4 is the closer rival to the Nikon but it's the US $349 TZ5 I'm interested in. Aside from the 10 megapixels it packs, it has a whopping 10x zoom wideangle lens, which of course has optical stabilization. The wideangle (28mm) part is what interests me - you can fit so much more in the picture. One of the criticisms of the Tz3 was in its Venus III processing engine, which for some people was far too aggressive in its noise reduction, sometimes leaving photos with poor definition. The new models have the all new Venus IV engine which, it is claimed, does a better job. If true, then this will be a seriously cracking camera. The TZ3, even with its flaws, was a class leader.
