The fusion of traditional Azorean music with a whole new sound. I love it!!! Sample music from the concert last night, a couple of my favorites. smile and this one featuring Zeca Medeiros, my favorite Azorean singer - a very popular song with a whole new sound. smile lots of clips of traditional Azorean life and it´s festivities and traditional folk dance. and this is the original, very different and very beautiful. Just so you get an idea of what´s traditional in the Azores. -> Is so amazed with the local talents. And they are hitting it big in Portugal. Congrats guys! happy

A tribute to João Aguarela´s project Megafone - fusing the traditions of Portugal with a new sound. -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeGA_FVAXr0

Isabel... dear friend who used to be here so much and post so much.. and in the summer of those long ago days in OC we all met and laughed and and talked here on your beautiful pages... now they are more silent and in the Azores, so far away, you live your happy life, thanks be to God.... but we have lost you to face book... I write these nostalgic words as I watch and listen to your traditional video... ahhh..such beauty of sound and vision.. it fills my heart and mind as I remember you and our friends of past days here in OC, Isabel del Azores.... you are lost from us now to face book... but maybe with this latest post you will one day return to OC and to friends like me who always love your good heart and your values. God's blessing be always with you and your beloved family, dear friend Isabel.

happy smile up

John

@ John, so sweet!!! bigsmile I´m still around. Not much time at the moment. Tourist season has started over here.

@ Darko, the third video is a taste of the traditional styles of the Azorean music - the second video is the same lyrics as the third. The style of the music was played with. bigsmile

I stopped at your islands on a voyage to the Caribbean and N.O... got some beautiful shots of the main island town center. I thought of you and your family at the time, but had lost contact so it was a thought kept in my heart. Glad you are still around. Glad the season has started for you. Here's hoping it brings success to you and yours and all the islanders cheers Isabel bigsmile
