Well, we went to see the big first time ever shown to public Zeca Medeiro´s new film, which was made for 50 years of RTP television in Portugal!
It was like a gala night... everybody was dressed up to the nines! RTP´s tv people were all there, actors and actrizes of the Azores and even six Italian actors and Actrizes from Teatro Picolo of Milano were there.
The film was longish and it is soon to be shown on RTP 1, RTP Açores and RTP International. It was wonderful to see my friends in it! César Lima was absolutely brilliant and he for sure will be the next big thing in the acting business.

Such talent!!! The film as I have stated was in part about the C. P. Valour and all kinds of coincidences that had occurred because of it. I also have my own coincidences in that bloody film, but, that is personal. One of them, which was a big surprise was my first love was in the film. He wore a mask....

There is a lot of masks in the film, so don´t even try to guess which one he was...

To my other friends who were in it: Anabela Morais (as an actress), Pedro Afonso (speaker), Orlanda André (speaker), Carla Damaso (speaker), Miguel Machete (actor and speaker), Maria Céu Brito (our art director and actress in film) who by the way has invited me tonight to make my next exhibition soon in Horta.

The film starts with scenes of awhile back, when I took photos of Zeca and my daughter at Porto Pim doing last minute scenes for the film.
My favorite part in the film, is César Lima dressed up in a full Harlequin suit swimming and struggling to get on to shore, wearing a mask. I talked with him afterwards and told him that scene was brilliant. He told me it was really hard to swim in that suit! I can imagine!

But, he did it so well!!!!

My next favorite scene was 5 riders, all in masks, on the Lusitano horses that are in my village.
One of those riders is my ex. I love that scene, it was wonderful and costumes brilliant. I loved the hats they wore!!!

The synopsis of the film is mainly about people: masters and slaves. And people learning to respect all people as equals and with respect. Whether it be in love, work etc etc etc, there must always be equality for all races, sexes etc etc etc. I found it funny that there is an italian Escobar who is the director of a theatre in Italy, talks about the history of the Teatro Piccolo and all the things that were said... and the things not said. The film shows also our humble little theatre of Faial, which watching it in the Theatre, and all the mirrors in the actual film, reflecting the booths made it that much more special. It will lose that effect once shown on TV, pity.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the evening...

Afterwars, there was drinks and hors-d´oevres for the invited.
