The website has previously been available in Russian and Japanese.

The available widgets however may not be available in your language though, as they still need to be localized by the widget developer.

Ericsson Widget Awards

The Ericsson Widget Awards contest ceremony was recently held in Sweden, where the top three winners were flown in to be rewarded. Several members of the jury were present, including Opera's own CDO, Christen Krogh.

And the winners are...

The first place winners are Victor Garzon and Jhon Samboni from Universidad de Cauca in Columbia who received € 15,000 for their widget Mobile World News.

Dan Kopparhed and Anders Stödberg from ArcMage software company took the second place with their game application called Quest, which enables a game master to organize outdoor treasure hunts using GPS services. They will receive € 10,000 in prize money!

And the third place went to Fredrik Wångberg from Strikersoft, who created Personal Shopper, that takes the worry out of shopping by enabling users to create their own shopping lists and then tick off items as they make their purchases. He receives € 5,000 for his winning entry.

All the winning and participating widgets will be marketed through operators that have implemented Ericsson’s e-store, which is where all the company’s applications are stored.
