X-Widgets Challenge: First weekly winner !

, , ,

I have to say, the response to the X-Widgets challenge has been awesome so far. We've received a number of widgets and frankly, I can say without flattery, that the competition is already heating up. The winner for the first week of the X-Widget Challenge is: Feeding Time !! Made by Daniel Davis aka "tagawa". Congrats Daniel  !!! - you should be receiving an email from us soon to confirm and instructions on how to collect your prize - a $300 Amazon gift card :D

We're counting the "qualified" widget entries, and as soon it hits 20 we'll be sending out the early bird prizes  (So, you still have a chance  )

Don't forget, there are still 2 more weekly prizes to go and still time for the MEGA PRIZE ! So, don't stop sending in the widgets. Just in case you've been sleeping all this while, click here to know more about the X-Widgets Challenge.

@SovGVD: Well, if you submitted your widget for the challenge using the form and it's now appearing at widgets.opera.com, then you're in  Just keep watching the blog for more announcements

2navjotpawera: i submit it !twice!, but nothing happend. I still doesnt know is my widget in contest list =(
Send it (http://www.opera.com/competition/form.dml) in third time: "Opera Widgets competition Thank you for your participation!". Maybe now someone approve it =)

This is quite stupid to provide only this message for users who want to see the widget in Opera 9.27:

Sorry, this widget is not approved for your device/browser

This widget contains elements which will not be displayed correctly on your device. This may be the result of a choice made by the author or by Opera Software staff.

You should allow to access the widget's info page at least and show such message if user wants to download a widget from older version of Opera...

Congratulations tagawa!!

I am very honored you became the First weekly winner of the X-Widgets contest from Japan also as a member of Choose Opera Japan :ninja:

It's extremely cool thing!

tagawa 11. November 2008, 09:46

Thanks keiki-san, although I'm not quite the programming ninja in your smiley!

You may have seen I've now added a Japanese translation to the widget so hopefully more people can find it useful.

gr3ut 11. November 2008, 12:54

Congrats!

keiki 12. November 2008, 01:41

Yes, I saw the Japanese translation.
It's also quite nice that made us we could do more :ninja:
