13 of you do, anyway. For following the style guide and adding that close button, we proudly award Opera Widgets t-shirts to the following:
All of you who have not already done so, please send your t-shirt size and home address to gautam_chandna.

Tick Tock

We're coming up on the end of this week's t-shirt giveaway. So far, four developers have won shirts for submitting widgets that meet the Style Guide guidelines. They are:

Jens Minor for GoogleWatchBlog: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5276
LinchK for GYRA-Search Russian: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5281
zomg for Online Player Search: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5280
and grafio for the Widget Bar: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/5283

There are more widgets that have almost qualified - one or two small issues hold them back - so hopefully we'll add more to the list tomorrow. But remember you only have the rest of the day Sunday to submit them. Good luck.

And don't forget to add a close button...hint hint.

Want to get your hands on the hot new Opera Widgets t-shirt? Just submit a widget this week that follows the new Opera Widgets Style Guide. That's right...every widget author who uploads a widget that conforms to the style guidelines will get a t-shirt mailed straight to them. All widgets that make it to the new widgets list after we review them will be eligible.

And don't forget to tune in for our next widget Web Q&A on Thursday from 5 to 6:30 PM CET over on #webapps. This week we will be talking about the Opera Animation Library

Widgets Web Chat Today!

, ,

Got some great news to share with you. This week, we're starting regular developer IRC web chats with our Web Applications team. If you can't get the answer you want on the forums, jump on over to our chat line and hit us with your questions about widgets. At the beginning of each week, I'll post the topic and time of that week's chat. We'll also post the transcripts online.

Without further ado, this week we're going to cover the brand new Opera Widgets Style Guide. Since we just posted it the other day, we're sure you have a lot of questions about style and usability of widgets. We're here to help you, so just ask us.

When: Friday, September 15 - 13:00 UTC until 14:00 UTC
Where: post questions to #askwebapps; questions answered on #webapps
Who: Web Applications team

Edit: Fixed #webapps link (both pointed to #askwebapps), thanks to tinhoy for notifying us.
