The competition has ended

The Widget competition is now officially over.
There were about 30 entries, and a lot of very good ones. The judges are currently hard at work trying to decide on a winner, so expect an announcement shortly..

Anyway, I attatched a widget to my submission that had a bug in its config.xml. It works fine in my version of Opera, but some have experienced problems. The change was to change <name> to <widgetname>.
I hope this doesnt count mine out...

It was great to meet some fresh people doing widgets.

And congratulations to the winner beforehands!

We probably won't see on today as it is Sunday, and Easter. I don't know how big it is in Europe, but in the US most people aren't working.
Good luck to everyone!

I do wish there was a second or third prize of some sort - so many people have put so much effort into a compressed space of time that it hope it goes properly recognised.
Anyway, on with the wait, and good luck everyone - from what I've seen already, the competition should be pretty tight!

T-shirts For The Win.
Also, I kinda assumed there would be more when the post said: "Winners" Plural. It was in there at least once.

Are you sure?
That would definately make me sad if they couldn't even muster the strength to do a simple blog post.

At least we'll soon have ~30 new widgets to play with!

Woohoo! You'd better not be joking
Even so, I wonder why they are taking so long posting any news to the site. Is it possible to have a two-day long hangover?

GrayWyvern: I was at the gathering, but I was sleeping and didn't wake up until 9 in the morning. It was plain luck that I noticed the sms telling that a prize is waiting for me in the opera stand. My name is Frederic Larsen.
If you want to take look at it, you can find it here: http://www.flarsen.com/04-18-2006/so-close/
At least, congratulations to whoever won the pc.

Congratulations to FLarsen and GreyWyvern, well deserved! And also to the mysterious winner of first place, although I have an idea of which one it might be.

We'll try to review all the widgets, maybe 2 by 2, in the forthcoming days.
It's been pretty hard to decide. Congratulations and thanks to all of you for your contributions.
