Smart phone complaints: Series 1, Smart phones and Bluetooth file transfer

Smart phones are not smart at all. Getting one of them means missing out over one of the most widely used method to transfer files from one device to another: Bluetooth. The lack of this feature is like taking two steps forward over other improvements and one step back from removing widely use features.
One of my biggest gripes with smart phone is their lack of compatibility with other smart phones or with the common dumb phones. It is dumb for smart phone manufacturers not to include the ability to transfer files over Bluetooth.
Most smart phones, such as the iPhone (as of iPhone 4S) and Windows Phone (as of version 7.5), have Bluetooth but are unable to transfer files over Bluetooth since their manufacturer expect user to transfer files using the web (only Android phones can transfer files over Bluetooth) or other methods not compatible with dumb phones. However, it is unfeasible to transfer files such ways to dumb phones, especially ones on pay as you go. This is because a. Dumb phones doesn't have near field technology as smart phones or can't install the apps necessary to transfer files on a smart phone, b. It costs an arm and a leg to get onto the Internet from pay as you go phones, and c. Most dumb phones does not have 3G or WiFi, so it will be damn long to download a large music file or picture file. Also, imagine there is no Internet or you don't want to access the Internet? How would you transfer files then?
Also, smart phones use properity ways to transfer files (or use twitter or email). Therefore, for files that doesn't have the proprietary features (like iCloud or Windows Live Drive, which requires log in or at the very least visit to the site), those wanting to send files to their friends have to log into their email account on their friends's phone and download the files there. This expose the risk of leakage of data if the other phone logs or saves the password.
Therefore, I think Bluetooth is a useful feature to transfer easily and safely with minimal risk of password leakage.

Edit: I tested WITHOUT using apps or jailbreaking the iPhone. Meaning, I tested the native support of phones to support Bluetooth. The only phones I've seen so far that have Bluetooth file transfer are Androids.
Unless Apple has buried their Bluetooth transfer of files deep within the menu, the only share options on the iPhone 4s and iPad are with Twitter, Facebook, iCloud, and email.
