Oh yes, one of my favourites, it's french 60s rocker extraordinaire Ronnie Bird. He really had it all: the attitude, the tunes and the hair. He did a lot of covers, but i often prefer his versions to the originals. He certainly beat most (if not all) of his french contemporaries at their own game. Here are a couple of Bird samples to get you going.

How about some more Mario Bava soundtrack music? Well, why not. Here is that very cool and swinging pop song from The Girl Who Knew Too Much (1963). It's Adriano Celentano with Furore.

As most of you will know, Mario Bava is one of the euro greats. Besides justly lauded films as Blood and Black Lace and Diabolik he also made underrated gems like Four Times That Night and the subject of todays posting: Hatchet for the Honeymoon. Although it tends to be forgotten in favour of Bava's flashier pictures, Hatchet is a lot of fun. The fashion house setting, the appearances by Dagmar Lassander, Femi Benussi and Laura Betti, the black humour, ghostly twists and the typically stunning cinematography make it another Bava winner. Have a listen to some tracks from Sante Maria Romitelli's great soundtrack.

Here we have a nice twangy and fuzzy single by Mario Molino, also known for his excellent soundtrack work on Gli Angeli del 2000.
