Pavano thought that he is the main reason for the loss of his team. Especially, the Minnesota had a long record of eight wins with no losses at all. It was a great record to keep but, the Rays had another opinion and finished the issue. Pavano was pitching the ball against Joyce and Joyce fouled out the first two hits while he was able to send the ball out of the field to the left corner.

When he was asked about the match, Ron Gardenhire answered that the Ball hit by Joyce made the whole difference and gave the lead to the Rays. The manager of the Minnesota Twins added that Joyce kept fouling the other players but, he finally hit the ball very hard.

He added that they only saw some videos for this player that came from Tampa Bay to join the Rays on his first appearance in the major league. Denard Span, Minnesota Twins center fielder added that he did not know Hellickson before this game and he added that he was able to perform very well in this game.

More than eighteen thousand fans of both teams watched the game at the Tropicana Field on Monday night. They were on time to see this abrupt defeat, record braking night and the first appearance of Jeremy Hellickson in the major league.
