A Glimpse of Norway's Mountaineous Coastal Areas

The next day, we continued with the bus to Aalborg, the second largest city in Denmark, passing through Odense, Hans Christian Andersen's hometown and staying over for lunch. Then we continued to Hanstholm, where we will board the world's fastest ferry at the western port and cross the Baltic and into Kristiansand, Norway. The whole ferry ride took two long hours as I slept through the whole trip, only waking up 30 mins before the arrival when my stomach growled in protest. So, I went to get some lunch danish hotdogs haha very delicious! hihi
We arrived in Kristiansand, Norway after two long hours, then we headed directly to Stavanger which took us about another 2 hours to reach, where we stayed there overnight. As soon as I had arrived in Norway, I immediatedly noticed the very very different landscape of Norway, as compared to Denmark. Denmark has low lying plains and fairly a large area of farmlands, while Norway, being 70% barren land, is full of mountains, rocks, and fjords. A fjord is a mass of water surrounded by land, which is often of sea water. It is very beautiful We drove through the coastal area where we were able to experience the splendid sceneries flashing by our bus windows. I barely had any sleep on the bus trip, as I was too concentrated in taking photos Many little timber houses where built on the steep mountain slopes, which looked rather more like a fairytale scene-come-true than what Denmark has to offer We crossed several tunnels, going under the fjords and islands
I understand that it may not sound so beautiful under my rather dull descriptions, so I'd suggest you better wait for the photos that I will uploading soon I know I missed out a lot of details, since there was too much information to remember without taking down any notes haha I am now in Bergen, Norway. We arrived here after taking another two fun ferry rides Both times, the deck was too cold and windy that I almost got blown away by the wind when I made my way up there to take some photos The temperature was below 15C and I only had two layers on I'm glad that we have finally arrived into this big city and stay for 2 nights, where I can have more time to do some shopping and sightseeing
The sun here does not set until 22:00 (10pm), worse than Denmark and rises at 3:00 in the morning hahaha I am still so amazed, even until now Well, I'm going out for a stroll now, and take a look at this wonderful city see you guys till I post my next post take care!
P.S. I may forgotten to mention about this on my last post about Denmark, but all, by all I mean ALL taxis there were Mercedes-Benz WOW! luxurious hahaha but taxi rides are too expensive
