Two Movies in One Day

, , , ...

It's been over a week since I had reverted back into my old hellish lifestyle - back to school. Well, I hadn't expected that as early as now we'll have to already start working on our thesis that is due the of the this school year on year 2009 bigeyes I'd been frantically thinking of a topic now and then, suggest them to my thesis mates, and unfortunately some of them do not think the way as I do. I had always been interested in environmental economics and had been hoping to do a thesis regarding this matter, although narrowing down this topic to much specific issue is not such an easy task. I shall work more on that today bigsmile Putting that aside, I'd like to talk about the two movies I'd watched yesterday with my friends p Yep, this was my first time to have two movies in a day heh

First movie was the much awaited Indiana Jones III bigsmile Well, I'm not really waiting for it to be released. In fact, this is the first time I ever watched this movie or any of its previous movies. This name did ring a bell when I heard it, but I had no idea what it was about. Apparently, I came to conclude in the end that it has a story very much similar to that of National Treasure II - searching for hidden treasures, action, suspense, and a bit of extraterrestrial integration (or what people call sci-fi)as well p It was good, but not as great as how people have reviewed it about. I am not so much inclined to movies as such, but since it's Nikko's treat, then sure, maybe this can serve as an eye-opener for me p

Now, the second movie. This one is really the one I'd been anticipating for and looking forward to watch bigsmile The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian I have watched the first installment before and had found it quite unfinished haha I mean, it's like I was expecting more and then suddenly its already the ending lol The action scenes in this second film was better, everything looked so grand and enormous bigsmile I'm not about to write some spoilers here, just my opinion, so don't worry hehe Anyway, the graphics was excellent, and definitely the addition of Prince Caspian really made quite a big difference and twist to the story p although I would have liked it more if the ending wasn't the way it is(can't say what it is devil) Maybe I didn't say much, but then its up to you to decide whether to watch it or not p its your call wink But if you ask me, I'd definitely recommend this movie to you, of course, if you're the type of person who likes the fantasy, romance, comedy genre of films smile

Two good movies clashing inside my brain, do you know how that feels? lol Some of the scenes were merging, overlapping haha I'm glad I didn't make up my own story with my dream last night, or this post here would have been a very different one p Most of you would probably think I'd gone crazy or something, but nope, I'm shaped to endure hell, the heat, and everything associated to it bigsmile So I shall rise one day and become even better devil cya! haha

Stardust

, , , ...

Stardust...one of those very romantic and touching films I haven't seen for quite a while now...

This movie is based on a novel with the same title, written by Neil Gaiman. You may say that I'm childish, but mind you, watching a fantasy-comedy-romantic film once in a while can really slow down my pace and give me some time to release some pressure and put that heavy burden on my shoulders down, even if it is just for shortly 2 hours. These past two months, I'd been so full of school and studies, I almost left that carefree side of mine behind lol But hey, going back to the movie, let me see...Its a really really great movie, enchanting, unpredictable, mysterious, and most of all, magical (well, maybe not for those feeling-matured people). I know magic doesnt exist, but perhaps, once in a while, it wouldnt be too bad either to indulge ourselves in fantasy land and put our creativity to good use bigsmile Well, I'm not trying to spoil the fun here bigsmile so if you really want to read about it before you watch (to make sure you dont waste your money for nothing), Google's always there to serve you 24/7 without delay wink

So if you are a romantic, idealist, uh...fairytale-lover or whatever, believe me, this movie is a must watch bigsmile Although its a romance movie, it certainly does not lack action, nor a twist of comedy, sarcasm, and irony ;)Take my advice, sit back, relax, and laugh and cry all you want, and be sure to share your blessings with others lol Let me know also how you feel about the movie, in case you have the time to watch it smile

P.S. Robert de Niro -- Best actor in the movie lol wait till you see him! bigsmile (The main characters are starred by Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, and Michelle Pfeiffer)

Here are a few scenes from the movie smile

Dreams

, , , ...

Dreams can be sweet. Dreams can be terrifying. Dreams can be unforgettable.

Quite recently, perhaps it was because I was so bored of just staying at home all throughout my summer break, that I've dreamed of a lot lot more things than I usually do.

Some dreams are funny, which I can't understand even if I later wake up and analyze and try to put the dream puzzle pieces together. Scenes seem to flash by so quick that it was already too late everytime I reached out and tried to capture them with my hands. My dreams are about my childhood memories or my current situation in life.

People say that dreaming is the communication of our brain between the consious and the subconsious side when we're asleep. Often times when I find problems troubling me, I could always find a solution through my dreams. I don't know why, perhaps when dreaming, my mind is in a more concentrated state?

I've experimented on this several times and it always worked. Whenever I lie on my bed and focus myself on thinking about something over and over again before I drift to sleep, I would usually, if not always, dream of what I was thinking about before I entered the sleeping state. Does this happen to you to?

I've had countless dreams in the past 18 years and non of them had been as vivid as the ones I'd had just these recent few months. Maybe they were still fresh in my mind? Or maybe there is something about these dreams that I did not want to let go? There is twice that I dreamed about the same person, well I'm not going to go into too much detail, but it was quite funny and strange. Maybe that person is actually a very important one, only that I failed to realize?confused

I've had terrible nightmares and also funny and sweet dreams that I would have never dared to imagine when I'm awake and conscious. There had been times when I awoke with tears streaming down my cheeks, most of the time, these were dreams that are connected with my family members and friends. Sometimes I awoke with fear and insecurity while I scan around my room and looked up the ceiling trying to understand what I had just dreamed about.

I would end up giving up the hope of understanding my dreams because it was either I'd forgotten bits of the dream the instant I opened my eyes or mixed up. Oh well, I think I would never ever be able to know what my subconscious side is trying to tell me. worried

"Dream a better dream, than work to make it real."

Do you think it's logical? I got that quote from a movie about dreams I'd watched before. I thought it is somewhat true, except that it discourages you to look into reality and work to achieve your goals. What do you think? smile
