Envoi en instance au point de retrait
Ah, it arrived in Metz in the next morning, it took only a day for the delivery, it sounds quite efficient for Chronopost. Well, let's see the last two status, Envoi présenté, impossibilité de laisser un avis de passage which simply means "non-delivery notice is unable to be left to the receiver". So I expected a deuxième tentative (second attempt) to be made on Monday (22/1/2007) as most international delivery company would do. As you can see, the last shipping status states that the parcel is ready to be withdrawed at Chronopost centre. It's totally ridiculous! They didn't even leave a non-delivery message to me and expected me to go to retrieve it?!
I went to La Poste today and asked whether my parcel is there and the dame said it's not their responsability to keep the Chronopost parcel and they can't ask them to resend the parcel to addressee. So the dame just gave me a telephone number and asked me to call Chronopost regarding to this ridiculous event, for your info the call will be charged 0,15€/min. The dame adviced me to go to their centre which located outside Metz... Bah, I don't have car, how could I possibly drive to there just to retrieve a parcel which I paid "quite a fortune" for its delivery service.
It really gets on my nerves! Stupid Chronopost, or perhaps it's the Chrono-postman's fault! Most delivery company will try to leave the message if they are unable to reach the addressee's mailbox (for example my case, access to my residence needs authorisation). Normally they will try to contact the addressee to rearrange a second delivery or paste a notice at the entrance door. But this Chrono-postman did nothing and left without trace. How irresponsible is he/she?! Don't he/she know that the parcel is important!? I just wanna curse him/her for making this big inconvenience on me. Now you see, I paid for its service and I didn't get what I want, now I have to call their service number which will be charged and I don't know whether my parcel is safe. Chronopost really SUCKS, S-U-C-K-S!

I'm not sure whose worse, Chronopost or Parcelforce. A parcel given to Parcelforce to deliver from UK to France is passed on to Chronopost. They say it's been delivered but the name stated as the recipient is the company name and there isn't anyone of that name. eventually they giove the number for Chronpost in the UK but it doesn't work. The Chronopost website indicates that it has a contact no. but it's blank.
A bunch of amateurs. Parcelforce sucks and chronopost sucks

Hi,
I have a package from france sent to me on July 3rd and arived to Israel in July 7th.
After staying at the customs for about a week, the shipment status is now "On Hold". Unfortunately, I can't contact Chronopost, the number in the website is out of service and no one answers to emails to the addresses they publish at their site. I dont know about any local representative if any.
Can anyone tell me how they managed to contact them finally? What number/ email address? Thanks for any help

Do you know what keys should I press to get to a representative?

Hi,
Thanks for your help.
I managed to speak to them, but the woman who answered tells me that the shipment went to the Israeli customs only yesterday, while it's stated clearly in the tracking page that the item was in the Israeli customs in July 8th and its status changed to "On Hold" from July 15th to this day...
She claims that the manifest attached to the package was incorrect but now it's in the customs again and with all the necessary information, although nothing has changed in the tracking day.
Very strange...
I'll have to wait few days to see if she was fooling me or not...

Hi again,
The most recent update from chronopost...
I've called them on Aug 14th and they've said that the seller have asked them to send him the item back to France.
I've contacted him and he said that it's not true.
Unfortunately my time frame for opening a dispute in paypal and ebay had passed.
After contacting them again last week, they've said that they have tried to reach me by phone (which is not true, I never received any call from them), and there was no answer and they have said that the item was destoryed by the Israeli custom.
I'm very frustrated, I don't know what to do next...
The Israeli custom people can't help me because i don't have any international tracking number, only the internal chronopost number.
Do you have nay advise?

Erm, since I have no experience in handling such case, I don't know how to help you out of this problem. If worst comes, just take this as a lesson and always make sure your address and telephone number contain no error before confirming a purchase.
Ok, don't be overwhelmed by this, hope you have a nice day ahead
Anonymous # 31. August 2009, 05:04
My address and phone number did not contain any error.
Chronopost are just lying...
These are the same address and phone number I've used for all purchases through ebay and are filled automatically.
Unfortunately because of their version changes I missed the ebay&paypal's dispute deadline.

They passed by at my house, of course they were in time, but
of course I was not there. I am still waiting for my parcel now.
You can call them on their 08* number, to investigate or make
an appointment, but that costs per minute, and of course you need to wait for 15mins before somebody answers on that line, in the mean time you pay your minutes. No way to contact them by email,
I agree with header of this forum.
Better don't use it until they have better way of contacting them.
