Grieved for My Loss

, , ,

I am totally depressed and grieved. I am feeling so lonely and helpless. My camera bag just got stolen, my passport has gone, how can I fly back to France without a passport. I just feel like I am no longer belongs to this world, my identity is lost, I am lost. My newly bought Nikon D90 which costs 1000€ has just gone. My apartment key, my letterbox key, my Carte 12-25, my iPhone charger and earphone, my tripod, my 1GB memorystick, all just vanished in a second. I was totally blank when I found out that my bag was gone, I was really blank for few seconds and tried to look for it around me.

A Regular Train Passenger

, , ,

It’s Thursday dusk and I am on the train back to my “third” hometown – Metz. It’s not my routine to go back to Metz on Thursday during dusk; strangely last Thursday I did the same thing. It’s all just about coincidence, last Friday and tomorrow are both public holiday, it makes May a pleasant month for workers, including me as a trainee for having less days to work compared to other months.

Recent Updates

My bad p:, long time no update about my recent news in my blog since well, my birthday? Ha, since then I was occupied with my trip to Spain, then a junior came to visit us in Metz, then followed by a hectic and laden with classes week and in the meantime, my ever greatest belated birthday present (bought by myself) - MacBook Pro arrived finally on Wednesday (precisely it's Tuesday and I missed it since I had class during the delivery), thus these few days till today I am still quite busy with it :D.

Hair Pee Bird They

, , ,

Ha :D, as wished by my brother, Hair Pee Birth They to Joe, Alvin and me as well. Yet another memorable day, how to describe my feeling? It's like the grand opening of Paganini's violin concerto No. 1 in D major, Op. 6 first movement (Allegro maestoso). If you happen to listen or hear to this master piece of Paganini (a famous composter, FYI), you will understand my current feeling .

MH 021

, , , ...

Now on the world fastest locomotive train rolling at 320km/h , I am now heading to Roissy CDG International Airport directly from Metz. Yup, later in the afternoon I will take flight MH 021 flying back to my hometown. This year, rather than staying a night prior to my departure in Paris, Jun Hui and I decided to take the 'risk' by going to the airport on the same day of flight .

Rennes - Saint-Malo - Mont Saint-Michel

, , ,

During the remaining days before flying back to Malaysia, I went to Bretagne on a whim. Since long I wanted to visit Mont Saint-Michel, the splendid city island where its access depends to the natural tide . Many people including me thought that Mont Saint-Michel was situated in the region of Bretagne yet it’s not. It’s actually located at the border between Normandie and Bretagne, thus it incurs the misunderstanding.

Summer Trip

, , , ...

Yesterday night all in a sudden I have a concrete planning in regards with my summer trip . First and foremost, I decided to follow Luke and Jun Hui to Bangkok, Macau and Hong Kong for 8 days in July. It's a last minute decision; everyone has booked the fight tickets and hostel earlier, I got to book them in no time since the price varies everyday. Luckily am I, I managed to buy them at the same price as theirs. Jun Hui recontacted the hostel for room change to 3 persons, two out of three have been confirmed the change, the one in Macau has yet to replied his mail. I feel so sorry :o:, all because of my last minute decision, they have to change this and that. Well, the more the merrier, they should be happy of getting another companion/photographer for their trip .

Reims

, , , ...

Reims is the metropolis of Champagne Ardenne. I once spent a day in Reims, I am not sure whether I did mention this in my blog, I was there for an internship's interview back to my second year study. TGV was still under construction by that time, thus going to Reims from Metz had to take Corail train, a normal train which took me about 2 hours for the journey :right:.

Scandinavia Trip - Oslo

Oslo Lufthavn Gardemoen Airport, that’s where we landed on Saturday afternoon, the first place I stepped my first foot in the land of Norway. On arrival, the surrounding dimension changed drastically, finally I was back to a dimension where I am familiar with – UTC/GMT +2 hours. Yeah, the first thing to be done was to change the clock particularly the camera’s. We spent least time in the airport; the baggage retrieval is efficient and fast. No custom check needed since we traveled within Union European. We took the easiest and not that cheapest way to downtown, instead of taking the Airport Express Train (Flytoget), we took NSB (Norwegian State Railway) train, which is cheaper. We paid 86NOK (equivalent to 10.75€) for single ticket. Although it’s not a direct train, we reached downtown in 30 minutes. Along the way, we could admire the beauty of Scandinavian nature, Norwegian typical residences, etc. We arrived at Oslo Central Station (aka Oslo S) in the afternoon.

Scandinavia Trip - Helsinki

, , , ...

Early in the morning we got on ferry-cruise from Tallinn to Helsinki. The journey took 2 hours; we could arrive in Helsinki 30 minutes earlier if we opted for fast ferry. We booked our ferry ticket the day of arrival in Tallinn, since the weather was uncertain on the next day, we chose the definite transport which runs regardless the weather is. Since the beginning of planning, it’s hard to look for Helsinki tourist guide on book shelve; I couldn’t manage to find one in Metz, but instead I could easily get a tourist guide on Finnish country, don’t confuse with the word “finish” which has only a “n”. In the end, we went to Helsinki without a complete map and guides. Yet we searched through internet about its attractions and maps, we printed them all and brought them along.
