Yesterday, Kosovo became independent from Serbia it just made them poorer because Albanians (the poorest country in whole Europe, if not Kosovo now) were the ones that sought for the Independence, supported by the USA.
Many years ago, many Serbs, mainly Albanians, were looking for the independence of a big piece of Croatia but it did not happen because Croatia fought during 5 years for that and it sent back most of the Albanians to their country were they decided to get a piece of territory.
Everything reminds me when Texas was part from Mexico, then Americans, like Albanians, came to live to Texas, then after being a group majority they decided to be their own country.
Why they cannot get along like many Hispanics citizens in the USA that they not seek for the “give back this territories to Mexico”. What they want is to help prosper both the USA and Mexico.
Albanians have been the perpetrators of such wars that were senseless. I have met many Albanian and they say that in Albania they think streets are covered with gold and money is almost given to you in the hand. When independence was declared for Kosovo, many Albanians waved the USA flag for 1 of 2 reasons, they were supported by Americans or they want to have a country like the USA that I think it will never happen because instead of unify communities they are separating them and destroying them.
What is a necessity? Watching TV? Having a computer? Don't you think necessities are like going to the bathroom or eating? In the USA they try to create you necessities by selling new stuff that you “should” have; while in Mexico the necessities make them “less” and ask for a lot more money.
To explain that, as you know, in Mexico there are many poor people that do not have money ven to eat because of the TV (like the daft punk song, “Television rules the nation”) they follow it, buying unnecessary things like a cellphone and many things more.
Comparing prices between Mexico and the USA, in the USA food is cheaper because of the income of people but the price is cheaper in Mexico; so if an American goes to Mexico with a moderate income he can become rich in Mexico.
Why am I saying this? Because in Mexico they want to ask money from you for every thing a necessity is; like in public restrooms they ask 2 pesos (20 cents) to enter, and what they are doing now, asking 5 pesos (50 cents) to par a car in markets like Wal-mart, could you imagine Americans doing that? Nobody would be going to that store but in Mexico because they keep going even though they do not agree with it that is why stores are doing it that way.
I do not feel proud to say but in Mexico a lot of people complain a lot about many things; society, life, friends, politics, but they do not do anything about it. The only way to fix things is to act and not sit and cry, that is why you have seen or heard that in Mexico is one of the top producers of soap operas in the world.
Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.
After many months that this blog raised from nothing to being the Member of the week at MyOpera.com . Many posts related to living to the USA have been posted and some people are commented. Publicity has been added (I get very small amount of money though).
The questions are:
* How many loyal or frequent readers do I have? (It should be at least 1 a week visiting the site) * What are your thoughts about the blog? (design, colors, blog are consistent to living to the USA) * What about the posts, are blog usually lengthy, short, boring or fun? * Do you want the posts a little bit more focused in a subject (like what) or like they are now? * What post have you liked more and which have you get bored when reading the title? * What do you like more about the blog?
Leave your opinion if you are or are not a frequent reader? (in the comment leave is you are a frequent reader or not)
Lately, I started to see how often I received the same presentation or slide-show(like PowerPoint or Impress presentations) from the family or friends. Also I hate when they send videos that occupy a lot of space and take a lot of time to get to watch them because you download it, open it and wait for the application to open. Do they know the meaning of online or youtube?
I just simply find the annoying. They only fill up you email account with garbage, it is also heavier to download than seeing them in the Internet. In addition I also find annoying that they put the slowest animations possible.
The common presentations have in the ending, "Send this file to 5 friends or more and something nice will happen". If that were true the people that sent them would not be sending them. Maybe the nice thing hat will happen is that they will be blocked temporarily of you account.
Another thing that they do is that they put "dramatic" or calm music. Maybe in that way they get more effective a message but anyhow I think it is annoying.
The only thing that I found beneficial is that if you download them you can get to watch them many times. Only worth it if you have a very slow connection. But again, is annoying.
If you want to get to do a good slide-show follow the steps in the video.
How NOT To Use Powerpoint (or also know as Life after death by PowerPoint) By Comedian Don mcmillan
For my programming of C++, I need to do a windows application that converts Roman (I,V,X...) numbers to Arabic numbers (1,2,3...). Only thinking how to instruct the computer gives me a headache.
When some classmates heard Roman numerals, they almost said “WTH are you talking about?”. One of them said that in Middle school he got one week of Roman numerals and was very difficult for everyone in his class. Even he said to the teacher to enter 549 as DVLIV instead of DXLIX, for the program it worked but a a great human error.
A good example how not to write, in the U.S. Federal CourtHouse, what a shame
Going back to my memories, I remember that when I came here and the Super Bowl XL (40) was going to be in 6 months of that date, all the hotels were reserved and one woman asked, “what number is it XL?” (maybe she thought it was extra large, ), and the person answered her in a non secure tone that it was 40 or 60...
I remember being in elementary school and being taught Roman numbers, in the beginning it was difficult but when you understood it, no number could stop you.
I cannot believe people from one of the most powerful countries of the world (not the one because it is China) could not understand a simple thing that has been present in their society and history. Maybe that is why they are not anymore in the first place, they want someone to learn everything of them and they do not learn something of other cultures like they expect everyone to learn English but that will be another post...
