...

After a Mexican, Mario Molina winner of the Nobel Prize of chemistry in 1995, more people noticed the climate change around the world by letting know people of the ozone layer depletion caused mainly by CFCs.
The main reason that caused the depletion of the One of the main reason of the depletion is because the improper disposal of old refrigerators and the extensive use of CFCs found in sprays. People disposes of them without proper ways, because they are not interested, they don’t know or they think it’s easier throwing them away causing a “small” damage to the environment that it will later repair quickly by itself. The best way is informing people of the damage caused by CFCs and where they can dispose them; there even is a discount of exchanging an old refrigerator for a $100 dollars coupon used to buy a new refrigerator that will be CFC free and energy efficient. And in the USA, it’s the law because you will get that coupon to pay it for law infringement.

blog action day, help, poverty, in need

Lately the world economy is getting worse and people are struggling to survive with everyday expenses. In many countries, including Mexico and the USA there are many people everywhere that cannot even get enough money to eat, and less to have a place to sleep, to have any belongings or to have leisure time.
Something that I find contradictory is that many people complain that they don't have enough money while they are spending a lot of money on luxuries like a cell phone with camera, MP3 player, internet, a new car, and to mention many things more.
In the USA I used to see many people asking for money in the downtown of big cities and I thought it was only in my country.
Many people has had many opportunities in their life but for some reason like they got robbed or a natural disaster took everything away, have become poor. While other people have wanted to stay the way they wanted their life to be.
How can we help people in need?
If you want to help someone, don't give them money, it is better to give them food or to provide help to get them to a place run by a group that will provide them some help. And I say that because in my city there is a guy that you can see in a wheelchair everyday, giving you the “pitiness look” so people give him money, and one family's friend told us that when he was at a concert and he was with a very expensive clothes and at the front seats...
Sometimes giving food is not welcome, like one day a person gave some tortillas to a boy in street and he took them but later when I needed to pass in the same street, he threw them away, like something worthless.
Other way is to donate money to groups or institutions that are dedicated to provide help to people in need, and usually it is tax deductible.
Helping others will not only help them to live better, it will also make you feel with yourself and make someone/s day.
It is not easy for men to rise whose qualities are thwarted by poverty.
