Memories of a Foreigner

A few days ago, my mother’s car was wrecked. It was nothing life threatening for anyone involved but I was thinking what the reason that caused it was it because I had 13 unread emails? Or because the same moment I got the phone call I was looking the scene in Back to the Future where Martin almost gets in a car accident?

I do not know why it was that, but I can assure that the spare tire in the back of the car absorbed most of the damage. That is why I have in my Jeep at all times the spare time even though it is heavy and it causes the Jeep to spend more gas. By the way, I have had many back bumps that have made nothing to it but damaging the other car; all of those times, like the car accident, were when we were parked.

Hace unos días, mi madre le chocaron. No es nada que amenace con la vida de nadie involucrado pero estuve pensando cual fue la razón que lo causo. ¿Fue por qué tenía 13 correos sin leer? ¿O porqué en el mismo momento que recibí la llamada de teléfono estaba viendo la escena de Volver al Futuro donde Martin casi choca?

No sé por qué paso, pero puedo asegurar que la llanta extra en la parte de atrás del carro absorbió la mayor parte del daño. Es por eso que siempre llevo la extra en mi Jeep siempre, aunque sea pesada y haga que cause más gasolina. Por cierto, varias veces me han dado un yegue en la defensa de atrás que no le han hecho daño pero dañan al otro vehículo; siendo todas esas veces, como en el choque, cuando estábamos parados/estacionados.
