A Jumble puzzle involves a question and four or five scrambled words. You unscramble them to form regular English words. Specially positioned letters are then chosen from each word to form the answer (probably scrambled also) to the question.
The joke to this comic is two-fold. The question is related to science since Jason is a nerd, and the answer is pretty obscure except for physicists (and those who know how to use a dictionary, like myself :-). The question to Jason's Jumble is "How the hungry lion greeted the particle physicist..." The second part of the joke is that the unscrambled words forms a sentence mocking his sister.
