God gave us the power to pray too, which is very important. Without God helping us via our prayers, we are useless. Take the story of Moses as an example: When Moses killed a person in Egypt; he fled immediately, as the power of God was not in him yet. But after he saw the flaming bush, God's spirit was in him, and he even went back to talk to Pharaoh of Egypt. He also was able to perform miracles with a power of God, even though he was just actually an ordinary man. (In the book of Exodus, there are many more examples of the allmighty God.)
