Climate Change in Fryslân

Wel today it's blog action day, and as topic there is "Climate Change"
www.blogactionday.org

It is a well discussed topic, but even then there always something new to say.

--

I live in the province "Fryslân" in the Netherlands, and the Climate Change has an effect on the weather here.
Also when water rises trough the years are feet will get wet if we don't do anything about it.
This because we have dikes around us that keep the water from comming in.
The dikes or not high enough for the rising water.

You have to understand that around the year 200(yes 200 a long way back) We had no dikes and water was comming in and the people here lived on elevated pieces of land(terp).
The started to build dikes so they could keep there feet dry and work the land.
Trough the years until now the dikes have been raised a number of times.

Now the plan is to elevate the dikes even more and make them stronger to hold the water out in many years to come.
This of course isn't easy, and takes building to a next level.
you can't just pour mud on the dikes, you have to build it with care.
But that's something we are great in.

Where is the light going to?

,

At the beginning of this month some light-bulbs have been forbidden to sell.
This goes for the 100watt bulbs.

What is the alternative for 100watt bulbs, is there any?

I don't use bulbs of 100watts but I can think of some places that have them,
And the normal LED's aren't the right replacements for them.
Normal LED's go to a max of 50 watts of light.

I think that I would choose for the halogeen lamp.
It gives enormous light and is available.
Available is the key word.
There are other light that could give the right amount of light but they arent available in he normal store.
Even the normal LED aren't widely available, while there are some that could give the light you need o replace the 100W bulb.

What would you do?

The new Opera design

,

Some people don't like the new design that Opera 10 brings with it.
The bubble around the buttons and the tab borders around the buttons on the tab bar.

To change it You basically have to jump in the skin.ini that you can find in the zip of the skin.

To remove the borders on the left of the pagebar(or tab bar) you'll have to remove the stuff beginning with [Pagebar Tail and [Pagebar thumbnail tail
Now let's go to the left where the panel toggle is
You'll need to remove [Pagebar Head... and [Pagebar Thumbnail Head...

This is what you get.

For the bubbles on the address bar you hve to remove the "Address bar Button Skin" section
In any case remember that you've got also left, right and bottom.

This will result in the following

NOTE: that if you remove to much, that the bubble around the buttons also disappears when you're mouse is hovering above.

In the native skin there seems to be a bug hat the Closed tabs button on the right on the page bar sits on an tab.
This can also be fixed in the skin.ini in the windows.zip pakkage.
Now you'll have to ad something and not remove

[Pagebar Tail Button Skin]
native = 1

This should do the trick.

Have a nice day
