Today it was announced that the video and audio tag are being removed from the spec.
This is a great lose, although there is a good change that over a couple years it gonna find it's way back in the spec.
But by then isn't there HTML6?

Apple refuses to implement Ogg Theora in Quicktime by default (as used
by Safari), citing lack of hardware support and an uncertain patent
landscape.

Google has implemented H.264 and Ogg Theora in Chrome, but cannot
provide the H.264 codec license to third-party distributors of
Chromium, and have indicated a belief that Ogg Theora's quality-per-bit
is not yet suitable for the volume handled by YouTube.

Opera refuses to implement H.264, citing the obscene cost of the
relevant patent licenses.

Mozilla refuses to implement H.264, as they would not be able to obtain
a license that covers their downstream distributors.

Microsoft has not commented on their intent to support <video> at all.

I really hope opera continues it's development of HTML5 <video> and <audio> tags.

It has been a long time, and there didn't happen much with the Frisian KDE.

I will try to get it on the road again for the 4.3 version.
It's not going to be easy but the first begin is already happening.

Also there is some work going on for a better spelling checker.
The first plan was to use the list from the Fryske Akademy, but this can lead to revoking of the list for Firefox and that can`t be the right way..

Sinds een aantal dagen is het mogelijk om My Opera in het fries te krijgen.
Dit is een mooi steunpunt voor het Fries.

Nog niet alles is vertaalt en ook niet alles is nog foutloos, maar dat zal naar verlang van tijd wel verbeteren.
