bugs, Firefox
That is the question after reading a post on
The InquirerIf there are now indeed 700 bugs marked as blocker
and they are planning to fix 20% of them.
What kind of Browser do the user have left.
If I see the word Blocker, I would assume that, that are bugs that can stop Firefox from being released, so to get released all should be fixed.
How do Developers decide with bug will be more hurtful by release than one other?
Will it be noticeable that some bugs still will be there?
Of course every program has it's bugs, but blockers doesn't sound healthy

retention, opera, Firefox
In the "
Firefox’s poor user retention"
it's stated that
Currently, approximately 50% of the people who download Firefox actually try it and about 50% of those people continue to use it actively
What about Opera? does Opera a better job?

plugin, opera, Firefox, frisian
Mei de Lêste ferzje fan Opera ferzje 9.21 is der ek stipe kaam foar
Windows media player 11 NP ferzje.
It is jo miskien wol opfollen dat nei it ynstallearje fan de Windows media player 11 dat Opera alle fideo's net mear goed werjout.
No is dat net Opera har skuld mar Microsoft dy foar it earst sûnt lange tiid in oantal saken feroare hawwe, en lit dat no krekt wol goed wurkje mei IE.
Mar se binne ek de beroerdsten net en hawwe spesjaal foar Firefox in plug-yn makke dy by de measte fideo's wurket.
Opera hat Opera dêrfoar ek geskikt makke.
Mar foar dyjinge dy't Firefox net hawwe wurdt
DIZZE plugin net ynstallearre omdat jo Firefox nedich hawwe.
No is der in oplossing foar dyjinge.
Sels dwaan
It folgjend programma kin hast alles útpakke:
Universal ExtractorSykje yn de plugin nei "np-mswmp.dll" en set dit yn de triemtafel fan Opera, wierskynlik yn c:\program_files\opera\program\plugins en wiskje npdsplay.dll
Set op 'e nij útein mei Opera en kontrolearje of jo it goed dyn hawwe troch yn it adresfjild yn te fieren.
Opera:plugins
Ik hoopje dat it wat dúdlik is.

browser, Firefox
Well today I booted Firefox again, the Frisian version:D
As Iam not an Firefox user I don't have clear view of how it is improved.
But as a Opera user I notice that it has become more usable as a browser.
It looks better and it feels better than 1.5.
And for me the feel is imported, I don't like how it is translated but that's another story.
When you boot it you'll get an google screen always nice.
The bookmarks are empty it does see my bookmarks, I find this a bad thing.
I miss the gestures, Yes I know you can install it but even Maxthon and Avant have them.
It block standard a lot of adverts, I don't like adverts but It shouldn't block them on an new system without notice.
The speed is there, the look is there, the feel is there.
I think firefox is growing up to a big boy/girl now
We’ll have to wait and see if it's mature enough to hold it's ground against IE, Safari and Opera
With thanks Berend Ytsma
