La nuova produzione di Yuji Ohno con i Lupintic Five e la cinguettante voce di Miki Imai in tre brani.
Il nuovo CD non è molto ispirato e sembra essere più un esercizio di stile che non uno dei soliti capolavori ai quali Ohno ci ha abituati. Forse la sua pubblicazione è avvenuta per giustificare la nascita della nuova etichetta del maestro, la "Lupintic Label"... Comunque i nove brani di "Feelin' Good" dimostrano ancora una volta lo strapotere del quintetto jazz. Buon ascolto e buon ritorno dalle vacanze, miseri mortali (come me).
The new Ohno's & Lupintic Five's production with the Miki Imai's birdy voice in three songs.
This new CD isn't so inspired and it seems to be a boring exercise of style, not an usual Ohno's masterpiece.
Maybe one reason for the pubblication of "Feelin' Good" is the birth of the new label "Lupintic"... However, the CD with his nine tracks, shows for another time the enormous power of the jazz quintet. Enjoy the music and the end of vacation!Download:

Un bel regalo per voi vacanzieri! La colonna sonora del popolare programma TV giapponese "Piccolo Viaggio", composta dal nostro Yuji Ohno nel 1999. Lui stesso ha definito queste composizioni come "musica per guarire l'anima".

Un altro regalo di "My Jazz World". Questo live inciso nel 1970 dalla cantante giapponese col trio formato dal nostro Yuji Ohno al piano, Takashi Mizuhashi al contrabbasso e Tetsujiro Obara alla batteria.
Trattandosi di un album estremamente raro, vi consiglio di ascoltarlo al più presto... Resterete colpiti dalla qualità del suono di quasi quarant'anni fa, e dai superbi arrangiamenti (si, credo siano proprio di Yuji Ohno):

Purtroppo gli impegni mi lasciano troppo poco tempo per gli aggiornamenti, ma questa ve la dovevo proprio! Un nuovo compagno di strada di questo blog, ci fa un super regalo: Lusse ci mette a disposizione un paio di CD dal videogame del 1992 "Operation Europe" composti ed eseguiti dal nostro caro Ohno.
Nel primo, abbiamo la OST completa con tutti i brani eseguiti in versione orchestrale per un ascolto tradizionale, nel secondo possiamo invece ascoltare solo Yuji Ohno alle tastiere con le incisioni per l'arcade. Sempre nel secondo CD, le tracce dalla 22 alla 47 sono composte da Michiru Oshima per il videogame "Super Genghis Khan".
Inutile dirvi che si tratta di due perle veramente introvabili, e se siete proprio dei collezionisti insaziabili, questo è il vostro piatto ricercato!
