Drilling In The Dark

All day I have been stressing about going to the dentist.
I don't know why however, I did go..

The North East in USA had high winds advisory today and gusts up to 50mph. It was hard at times to control the car due to the wind blowing things around.

I got my work done in a few stores and worked my way homewards to get to my appointment on time.

I thought to stop off at one store and do it for this other company I work for also part time.. I no sooner walked in the door .. BAMMM tha power went off.. so I did my work fast and continued to drive towards Connecticut .

The winds were stronger in Connecticut.. As I drove towards the dentist office I see a large traffic jam..

2 telephone poles came down and was blocking roads.. Not the road I was on so I was safe to get to my designation.

The dentist took me a bit late due to 2 unexpected appointments so I had a nice conversation with a medical salesman.. I enjoyed speaking to him and getting rid of my stress.

My turn to get in the chair and the dentist gives me the Novocain and waits until my mouth is numb so he can do 4 teeth for drilling.

Drilling 4 teeth at one time .. he was fast and efficent however,
how did we know ANOTHER TELEPHONE POLE would come down making a total of 3 in one day in the same location.

The room went to BLACK . he was drilling and then not drilling. No power no drilling.. We waited to see if the power will come back however, it did not so before it got any darker the dentist decided to give me temporary fillings .

We had to find a chair which was already laying down inorder for him to do the fillings.. this too was funny since the room I was in originally did not have windows and was pitch black.

By flashlight the dentist put in the temp fillings 2 girls in the room one holding the flashlight one helping with my mouth and then the 3 one comes in with a camera and takes a photo of him working by flashlight for a keepsake..

I didn't expect this today when I woke up that I would have my teeth done by flashlight.. We had so many laughs this too I would have never expected to have in a dentist chair.

I have to go back Saturday to get the permanent fillings in.
I wonder if any more telephone polls will fall ?

I thought it would be funny to post this story since it is true
and rare to have happen.

They handled that situation like champs didnt they ! wish I coulda seen you,all novicained up and stumblin around hahahahah thanks woman you gave me a big laugh ! denistry bu flashlite hahahahha oh and resis....dont worry so much bout dentists..... its better to suffer a little discomfort than to deal with a toothache ! oowwww they hurt !

:irked: one of my nightmares ... it's a horror to go to the dentist's anyway :irked: ... but if it turns out with having some good :lol: ... maybe it would be worth letting another telephone pole come down ... :whistle:

Im not so brave...Im more scared of a toothache than I am anything else ! and just a tip....flossing will do more for your dental heath than brushing...brushing is important but flossing gets all the uckys out from between your teeth. And since Hulk has been leaving sweets and treats everywere, we need to be even more careful ! lol !

Hi All,
thanks for reading and laughing if someone told me this story I would say SURE :D
They called me today to change the appointment for Saturday and they were still laughing..
This dentist is really good my daughter was there in the AM and she had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and she was fine.
Painless and humor and no lights what more can a person ask for ? :smile:

we all in Indonesia always eat rice for lunch n dinner. even bfast but some of us eat toast.

I went back on Saturday and got my 4 teeth filled
he is so gentle it's amazing the needle does not hurt
one bit.. I told him too :smile:
its nice having a hotty for my teeth :D
