Does it pay to Dream?

HI All,
As you all know my title of this blog is Desert Dreams, where dreams do come true..
When I was a girl I dreamed as a girl, I guess it's like in a fairytale dreaming way.. As I grew to be a teen I dreamed larger dreams, to be an Animal doc, this was taken from me or should I say I allowed it to be taken from me.
Then I became older and had dreams of my children, now these are no longer vivid.
I had dreams in the Desert and some came true others still in the process in maybe land.
I have come to the conclusion I think it's safer not to dream just take each day as it comes and if something wonderful happens than count it as a blessing.
I might be wrong however, confused and saddened to see crumbles of what was suppose to be beautiful and full, only to be left empty and ugly.
What's your point of view?
Love
Eve

As a personal opinion, I think that dreams tend to feed my life up with energy and motivation.
I have also read some books that say that living day by day should be even more pleasant.
Well, maybe, if we could mix both options it would be great. If that's possible...
Love,
Dan

I wish mixing the both would work, I am so sick of seeing my dreams vanish.
I really feel we have no control of our dreams not the ones of the night time sense the future ones.
One by one they vanish, POOF ... GONE !

Dreams are reflections of our lives and of our future. Maybe when we dream about having a nice house, job, family, etc... we're not dreaming, we're planning. Dreaming comes from within ourselves and we've got to learn to listen to them.
That's my p.o.v.

I thank you for reading and replying but I mean dreams as in goals..
You dream of alife with someone or with family and then it;s taken away.
I believe in dreams of the night kind also to be guides and road signs if you wish.
I have missed hearing from you , thank you for reading me again:)

It's possible to live a vibrant life without always gazing forward...
Sorry, I'm distracted by TV right now, so I'm probably incoherent. Oh well!

I thought the point of having dreams in life was to live and work towards them. Just as you are dreaming of China, and working towards that goal?
I am just tired of having my dreams vanish.
thanks again

From a Taoist perspective, it is foolish to struggle greatly - to do so means you are pitting yourself against the grand course of things, and nothing worthwhile should require great struggle. The best approach is to plant seeds, nurture them, and let the flow of life grow from them what it will.
Regardless of how you see it, I think the essential point is that whatever your dreams, you don't define yourself by them. I am not my interest in China, nor my interest in a certain girl in the Air Force whom I hope to spend the rest of my life with. I have my goals and my dreams, but I am not my plans and they are not me. If they do not work out, I will cope. Life goes where it will, and humans are incredibly shortsighted - who are we to know what we really want in the grand scheme of things? Fighting so hard against what is may have you miss out on something else valuable.

I see your point and I do understand it very well.. I am only saying how you keep these dreams as goals and how you keep them alive by working towards them.
If someone else is involved in these dreams then without both working towards the same dream, it's certain to vanish.
I guess this is my fault since my dreams past and present had others involved, and this is why they vanished.
This is why I don't dream only sometimes at night.
Thanks for your reply I do like reading your words,
Eve

Alas, DATELESS WONDER BOY has been defeated by a girl, and forced into early retirement.
Will this be the end of our superhero?
Will the world be plunged into lawlessness and despair with no guardian of bachelor truth to protect it?
Tune in next time for the exciting conclusion!
Same dateless time, same dateless channel.
