We Won't Eat Meat

Recent news from the Greek parliament are very good .
At last the majority of parliament representatives voted for a ban of sheep mass slaughtering, a custom that has long accompanied orthodox Christian Easter. "This mayhem is not compliant with the message of love and humanity that Easter is all about" said the PM.

An alternative of low price, high hygienic, fruit and vegetable salads will be promoted and, hopefully, replace the current roasted sheep custom.

At last, a decision that finds me in total agreement!

UPDATE:
April Fool's day!

Mass slaughtering? What is that??

I mean - is it better to mass-slaughter fish, pigs or anything else?

Or is it done in a particularly gruesome manner with the sheep?

No, it's just that it's been done in mass scale during the Easter (and there was no such parliament discussion - it was my contrib for the April fool's day P:)

orthodox Christian Easter

it's the time of year when serbian orthodox church (it’s not a church it’s more an extreme right political party in robes) declares it's political plans for the next year, so they have to sanctify them with blood :frown:

"it’s not a church it’s more an extreme right political party in robes"
couldn't agree more on that one.
