What The #$*! Do They Know?

,

First five readers will experience an intense orgasm ... now!
If you felt nothing then, obviously, you weren't quick enough to read me. Sorry.
...
I need to believe in something so badly. Call me romantic, sensitive, weirdo but don't call me strong. I'm not among those ones who, despite being thrown in a world with no obvious meaning according to human logic, they still manage to live a sensible life having looked under the hood of everydayness and having found out that there is nothing there but a non-sense clockwise mechanism that just keeps time to an incobrehensible opera. In other words I was quick enough to throw away religious theories that in essence don't differ much by the quirky but stupid introduction of this post. Yet, I was not able to replace the consolation they offer by presenting a meaning behind my existence and an assurance of its continuation after my physical death.
...
I need to believe in something. Bad news slap me in my face everyday. War, death, blood, pain, evil, fear knock at my door (and my mind). Future is an ass ready to shit, we are the toilet and Earth is a van driven by drunken eggheads. Should I draw it clearer? There are times that I really I need to believe in something...and I'm a guy with no serious personal or family problems. So, how badly would I need to believe in something if I were say poor or ill?

Apparently really bad. But wait. Wherever there is a need there is a market and where there is a market there is business. And big business I'd say. Traditional organized religions thrive wherever poverty reigns. Poor need the dream and old mainstream religions (lets say the big corporations of the game) were there right from the beginning to create and grasp the market (no? remember history books saying that the first to establish a colony were the army and a priest?).

Yet, those religions seem to loose a market share in the more developed countries where "educated" (and more importantly less hungry) people like me, disgusted by their practices and insensibility, throw them out of the window. Over the last decades there has been a rapid market change in so called advanced societies and these mega corps are slow to follow. So, there has been space for little companies to enter the game. They are young, fresh and aggressive and they seem to understand better the uncommitted and uneasy target group. Forget the old "believe 'cause I say so". These generations have rejected all authorities but science. So, one way or another, the platform where their churches have to be built on must reflect rejection and science. The target group will accept rhetoric that bomb hideous churches and borrow from science. Spit old religions with their prophets, burning bushes, bloody crusades, woman oppression and middle age. Talk about DNA manipulation, quantum physics, string theory, black holes and cosmos unity. Then they'll hear (and hopefully buy). Never mind if half of what you say are unproved theories or if what you say is outright wrong and rejected by real experts. What matters is to have such magic words in your speech. These are the "open sesame" that will unlock the gates of your target group souls.

And there you will find what makes every exploiter smile. A sobbing kid that is afraid to live and die. Just play his mommy and it’s all yours.

Stop fucking with our need. Will you? I’ll buy your car, pasta and mobile but leave the kid in me free of bullshit. Maybe then he will rise up and find other kids around and do what kids should do. Play and smile.

PS 1: What made me write this post was the film "What the bleep do we know" which offered me a nice trance while watching it and a hard landing when I learned more about it.

PS 2: Zerog wears a Christian cross. It was a gift by his love. He will keep wearing it both because it was a gift from his love and because he believes there is something out there. Yet, zerog, doesn't want any relation with any church or organized religion. One thing is that they know nothing and the other is that they keep accumulating wealth and speaking nonsense about the problems that fuck zerog's world.

Audrey Tautou makes me horny

, ,

Well,
she should be!

My point is simple. Follow me.
Porn movies are supposed to make you horny.
Porn movies are prohibited for people under the age of 17.
Da Vinci Code (the movie) is equally prohibited for people under 17 (at least in Greece).
Sooo ... Da Vinci Code falls under the same category with porn movies, isn't it?
Audrey Tautou plays in Da Vinci Code and she is the woman and I am a man.
Sooo ... she's supposed to make me horny, right?

Well, I can't find any error here but I'm in dilemma. I mean should I take my girlfriend to see the movie? You know, I don't feel OK seeing such a movie with her. It's kind of weird.

And then there is another thing. Well, Audrey Tautou is undeniably cute...but she is not that sexy! ...
Oh my! Oh my! I must pretend she's a sex bomb or people will start thinking I'm gay. Dammit! Church will always find a way to make my life a mess.

A note about terrorism

, ,

In a society that believes in nothing, fear becomes the only agenda. Whilst the 20th century was dominated between a conflict between a free-market Right and a socialist Left, even though both of those outlooks had their limitations and their problems, at least they believed in something, whereas what we are seeing now is a society that believes in nothing. And a society that believes in nothing is particularly frightened by people who believe in anything, and, therefore, we label those people as fundamentalists or fanatics, and they have much greater purchase in terms of the fear that they instil in society than they truly deserve. But that’s a measure of how much we have become isolated and atomised rather than of their inherent strength.

But the fear will not last, and just as the dreams that politicians once promised turned out to be illusions, so, too, will the nightmares, and then our politicians will have to face the fact that they have no visions, either good or bad, to offer us any longer.

This is the end words of the BBC documentary "The Power of Nightmares". The quote is a link to a page where you can find the whole transcript. This is one of the best documentaries about the play we see the last few years. You know, the one where egg headed radical "revolutionaries" plant bombs to kill innocent people to fight west and disseminate Islam to the world but you know they were "sponsored" by west in the first place (when they were friends) and for a time they believed they could start a revolution to every Muslim country by killing innocent people (Muslims) that wouldn't be otherwise convinced to be good Muslims and then people of these very Muslim countries spit to their faces and they were going bo-hoo-hoo until West came (again) to make them mainstream by attacking some Muslim countries so that they could play the saviour role and then western politicians finally had to sell something instead of broken dreams, terror and war and more terror blah blah blah.

Anyway, I'm kind of sick seeing the same movie again and again. The way I see it, it looks like the same football game every so and then. The field is set up by the west (aka invasions, Iraq occupation, Guantanamo, etc), the players are on one side the terrorists and on the other side the western troops all over the Muslim countries, coaches are big money and dirty politics and we (Muslims and westerns) are just the watchers. Only that the game differs from traditional football in subtle ways. The ball is a bomb, the players shoot towards shuttles instead of goalposts and there won't be any celebrations. So, why do we watch this filthy game again and again? It won't ever end unless the whole field is unrooted and getting the fuck out of Iraq would be the best beginning.

PS 1: Read the transcript (or see the documentary). I think it deserves a bit of your time.
PS 2: More about the film plus links for downloading or streaming it can be found here (thanks handyguy  ).
