Óbidos village

I have a new camera Canon 590, gift from a Opera friend.:smile::smile: I'm so happy for that! :happy::happy:

To make a new album photos and a new post in my Opera page, I had a idea to went in a great place in Portugal, Óbidos village, with my wife and son.

Óbidos is about 90km from Lisbon, we take the highway A8 to north. Weather was fantastic for photos.:wink:

When you arrive to that village you feel like if you had living in other time.

The area was taken from the Moors by the first kink of Portugal, Afonso Henriques,
in 1148. :king: :knight:

Castle, houses architecture, churches are like in that time of the kings.

But let’s go to start by the beginning of my trip.

Before you come inside the village this is the first view you had.

Streets are tight but long

Typical pots of flowers near the windows of the houses


In any street if you look to the right or to the left you will see something like that...


Round windows always with this predominantly blue...


All the houses have those two colors! :smile::smile:


Balconies with very big pots...


Marks from the beginning...


From the wall of the castle you have some views...


Roofs of the village...


Yes, in the end you have the great view to the Castle of Óbidos!

Thanks Zeffie! Here every year they make the chocolate fair! And in December they put all that village white like if was snowing :smile::smile: it's the christmas village! Something beautiful and fantastic for kids! :smile::smile:
