My blog is a little bit of everything...

I do this with happiness...

Brave people...

Lot of time I would like to write a post in my Blog about them...
Today it’s the perfect time to talk about that subject.

Any time I see news about airplane accidents that the pilot has made the best effort to save all the passengers lives, I thought “What a fantastic person he/she is”.

But why those men and women are not turned famous by society, not like a pop star, but like some one that made something amazing for others…?

Of course not only airplane pilots are brave, there are lots of other that help without looking out, as policeman, fireman or any other singular person… They have done really amazing and fantastic things to save or rescue others.

Every year we see Oscars, Gremmies, sport finals and so many other famous events.

And about those people that save others even putting his lives in danger?

I hope one day we can see them wining our deserved respect.

To all of you that one day have saved some one, you deserve all my respect. :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I would like to know your idea about that and also if you already had an experience to save or rescue some one…

Here in tha link Acts of Kindness you may read about some experiences. Thanks Adele for that link!

Thats an interesting post i agree. I often found though when i saved a fellow student from drowning in the school swimming pool back in 1996 when he had a seizure. That an hour later after everyone knowing what happened they all crowded round me singing and calling me a hero and i soon found that a little overwhelming and a bit embarrased!

Many people ehen they are in a sudden situation act on instinct, sometimes it can be the right instinct and people are saved, other times the wrong instinct and people dont survice, its a chance thing but if your heart is in the right place, you do all you can to help those in need, i know i would because i love life and people.

I had a seizure the other day, i thank those who came to my aid, iam not sure whether i would go up to them and say *oh your my hero!* I would just say thanks and give them a small gift like a box of chocolates or a drink down the pub. P:

José Torres 16. January 2009, 12:21

Great Marc, you deserve all my respect too! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Tell me isn't true that we fell so good after we save some one?

Yes, you have done a beautiful thing given that box of chocolates!:wink::wink:

Mark Jones 16. January 2009, 12:23

Yes i did feel good about saving his life even though i felt a bit guilty by breaking a rule that you should never restrain a person having a seizure, until i read that you can if they are in danger, in this case in a pool you can so i did feel good.

Was amazed at the *suprise party* they threw for me at the school lunchtime though

The student i saved, his parents came round the next day and said thanks to me too which was nice.

Thanks ze :D

Don't forget to be happy in Egipt.

One more thing people usualy don't care about advertising inside the airplane, but it's very important!:wink::wink:

Take care my friend, don't forget to photographe Tutankamon!:wink:

José Torres 16. January 2009, 12:28

Fantastic Mark, they did the right thing! That vive us more strong to help any time everywhere!:wink:

I think aslo that know about first aid it's very important in some occasions!

Mark Jones 16. January 2009, 12:30

Thats true, i learnt first aid at college, but i think it should be taught at young school age so that lots more people know what to do incase situations arise.

PainterWoman 16. January 2009, 12:33

I'll bet you are talking about this last airplane that went into the Hudson River. The way they explained it, how the pilot 'landed' the plane on top of the water, was amazing. It took a very skilled and level headed person to do this, someone who did not panic, someone who maintained his composure. That took true guts! If he had gone in nose first, the plane might have broken up and many or all people killed or hurt. When I saw the photos of every single passenger standing on the wings of the floating plane, I got goosebumps.

A very skilled and brave man!:star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

José Torres 16. January 2009, 12:33

Yes, our government want to put that discipline in the shcools!:smile::smile:

I think it's one of the best ideas our government had! :D:D:D

José Torres 16. January 2009, 12:39

Yes Pamela I was writing that post and seeing alive the news about that accident in the Hudon River.

You are so right about the pilot even they have lots of hours to traning those things, those accidents they are never as they expect in live situations! :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

MrLeffe 16. January 2009, 15:19

This happend when I was very young at that time I was living both in town and in the countryside I was going home very often. At this time it was
in the begining of December a friend of my parents should take me in to town by car. About 15 km from home in the dark we could spot a car half way down in the ditch. In front of the there was a moose badly injured, It had been hit by the car, falling on the front window and the roof of the car. In the car there was a family of five people in chock. Bits and small pieses of glas every where, we manage to get 4 of the family out. The father of the family was stuck in the car. At this time there where no such things as selfphones. The friend that was takeing me into town, drove to the nearest house and called for help while I did stay with the family. The father of the family was badly injured too. This was far out in the countryside and during this time about one or two houres there was no one passing by. Sometimes I do think If they had not been seen, maybe they would not have come through alive. Some times animals like moose after they have been injured take off and you have to look for them, but this one was staying and could be put down. This made me to be aware, too look, and not take anything for granted

Any experience to tell us?:smile::smile:

Stardancer 16. January 2009, 20:35

There are heroes all around us, Ze. The ones that come immediately to mind are the flight crew of Angel One medivac helicopter that transported my 4-day-old grandson to Arkansas Children's Hospital for life-saving heart surgery; the doctors and nurses that diagnosed his heart condition; the surgeons that performed the surgery that saved his life; and the wonderful, caring doctors and nurses who cared for him following his surgery.

Like the pilot of that airplane yesterday, and the flight crew and boat captains who made sure that all the passengers and crew were rescued with little injury, these are my heroes.

FolleHerbe 16. January 2009, 20:40

  Zé!!!It's a great post!!!
And I'm obliged to think about my father!!!
My father is like an Ange!
He flies in the sky with his white helicopter to go to rescue people!!!
He must be ready 24h/24h, day and night,
because the accidents and illness are unpredictable!
I have a lot of stories to narrate, sad and happy...
In France the hospitals are specialized,
when my father saves premature babies, he goes to Paris hospital,
to save serious burn persons he goes to Bordeaux hospital...
When he saves life, people thank him by words or gifts,
he often saved childrens, and they made for him beautiful draws.
It's a super father!!!
But when he goes to the accidents place, he isn't alone!!!
There are the Gendarmes, Firemans, and the Urgencies team too.
It's a great team work!
And we can thank them every day for theirs fabulous actions!!!

José Torres 16. January 2009, 20:47

MrLeffe 16. January 2009, 21:01

These are the most important heroes. We have The resque personal and mind you all of us. Resquepersonal like folls father, personal in hospitals, firebrigades, police are never asked to be heroes but they are indeed.
And we can help the people in difficulty and our "heroes" the Resquepersonal.

José Torres 16. January 2009, 21:09

José Torres 16. January 2009, 21:26

One of my experiences was with fire...

One day I was at home then I feel some fire smell coming from out side of the window, I run fast to take a look.
Then I saw some smoke coming trough the window of the neighbour, I run fest to see what happen.
I arrive in the house of the neighbour he was out side with a bucket in his hands...I ask her what happen, she told me my kitchen is burning...

I ask her why you don't do something to stop the fire??? She ask me let it burn...well I eyes was like: yikes: let it burn? Was my question again.
Then I take the bucket from is hand put it full of water went in the kitchen, the atmosphere was very hot and very smoke...but I won the fire...

I was 15 year old in that time! And the building still exists!:wink::wink:
