My blog is a little bit of everything...

I do this with happiness...

Strange forms of life...

My forest still very green and it's a perfect time to try some macros photos of so nice forms of life.

Blooming moss

Take a look there are more to see...

There are approximately 12,000 species of moss.
They like to live here in the cork trees.
Some kind of mushurroms... Browns
Orange mushurroms...
Pink mushurroms...
Fungus is a strange branch of life. When I think of fungus, it brings to my mind alien worlds and bizarre life forms.

This is the kind of wild life in the forest.

I don't think we did, Ze. I was so young, I wouldn't have known, though. I do remember the smell of "green"--pine, moss, grass, leaves. I sometimes just go and sit on the riverbank to remember those smells.

Nice! I also enjoy beeing in the forest and take a closer look at all those small things. But I wonder when I will be able to do that this year as there is a thick layer of snow everywhere right now, and freezing cold.

What great variety, and nice to see them on a cork tree. I saw a programme on TV recently about how important cork is to the ecology of Portugal (they also showed the Iberian lynx, which was stunning). I now try to remember to buy wine with a proper cork.

Dacotah 11. February 2009, 03:41

zetorres 11. February 2009, 10:18

Thanks Words! Yes indeed our cork it's very important for our ecology and economy! NASA bought our cork to put in spaceships!:smile:

I hope you will like our wine try Alentejo wine like Borga, Piriquita, Esporão...

About Iberian Lynx, it's realy a beautiful animal.

rfhurley 11. February 2009, 19:16

Do you have any suggestions as to how to shoot macros (or "virtual" ones) without a macro lens?

SittingFox 11. February 2009, 19:23

I love those lynx. I wish I could see one in the wild...

Great post Ze! It's nice to remember how much "small" life is in the world

MrLeffe 11. February 2009, 20:47

Yes do have lynx here but they are few and very shy of humans. sometimes we can see the pawprints but not often. I have never seen one in the wild,

Flying Red Fox Blog 11. February 2009, 21:00

zetorres 13. February 2009, 09:12

Lynx are realy beautiful, and thanks there are people caring them to protect the specie!:smile::smile:

zetorres 13. February 2009, 09:14

zetorres 13. February 2009, 09:16
