My first week
Wednesday, August 6, 2008 11:50:01 AM
This is my third day in Opera. The whole environment is awesome, it really lives up to the hype that it's a great place to work in. I've been introduced to a very helpful and resourceful mentor Frode, and I've managed to meet with some really interesting colleagues.
Since the first day I didn't have a laptop, I get to play with Frode's UMPC for a day. The gadget was uber cool, though I still can't get myself to write fast enough with the stylus. The reason I get to play with UMPC was for another merrier reason, I'll be getting a new Macbook. Cheers, cheers! with 10.5 installed. I've always wanted to play with OS X 10.5, but failed to. I remember how Eneas and I used to talked so much about the great features but I still never got my hands dirty. I feel guilty! Now I finally have the chance to do it!
Another great thing about opera is the food. Well, for a person that eats incessantly, it's great to know that food is always around the cornder. After a great meal, I,ll get to drink my wonderful coffee in this lovely opera cup. The first image that conjured in my mind when I saw the cup was that it was like a google's equivalent of coffee cup - a symbol of an uber nice working environment.
